Ed Coan Peaking Cycle Squat Routine
275x2x10
Coan/Phillipi 10 week dl routine
Deadlift (75%): 1x2 @ 365 lbs Felt Easy
Speed deadlift (60%): 8x3 @ 290 lbs 1st 6 sets mixed grip, 7th set overhand grip, 8th rev. grip
3 circuits (rest 90sec between exercises, 2-3 minutes between circuits):
Stiff-leg deadlift: 8 reps * *225
Bent over row: 8 reps * *100 last set did rev. grip
Underhand (reverse) grip lat pulldown: 8 reps 140
Arched back good morning: 8 reps 115, 125, 125
The last circuit was definitely feeling it.

3 circuits of quad sets
Stiff leg deads 3x8 225, 235, 235
Bent Over Row 3x8 100
Rev. Grip Lat Pulldown 140, 140, 145
Arched Back Good Mornings 3x8 110 Gym Packed and no extra bars available so I had to use the heaviest Straight Curl Bar.
Bench 2x10 195
Weighted Pull ups/Chin ups P 30lbs 1x5 C (same), P 45 lbs 1x3 C (same)

i hate it when you mentally prepare yourself for a legs session, but are injured on hip and end up doing back! really throws you off.
was not feeling good today. still did deads tho, a must. pulled 540lbs, clean. i reken i cood get 550lbs on a day where I feel great and wear a belt. (i dont ever wear a belt, but thinking of getting one for heavy one rep stuff)
hoping to pull 6 plates in a couple of months i reken. 573lbs....each lb i increase on deads will get me closer and closer!

Just pulled 405 Conventional a couple of days ago. I'm taking 5 days off from my bodybuilding program and switching to a powerbuilding program after Nov. 30... My numbers should shoot through the roof..

Well its seems that after a month of trying to find my leg drive.. I failed at figuring it out.. So I'll go back to work at it with lighter weight again ..
But I manged to pull a new PR of 375x1 .. I was the only one in the gym at 1AM so I let it all hang out with a loud cry to the gods to let this thing keep moving LOL

two weeks ago, I maxed out at 495 (I did use straps on this though..I will try not to use them from now on), but i hadn't seen this thread yet, so I didn't have a camera handy. haha This week I did 315x8 for 3 sets. Felt good. I plan on going low rep again I a week or two. Hopefully this time I remember a camera!
Tackling this endeavor with a scientific, evidence-based approach.

trying to catch up
This is a awesome thread. My max right now is around 450 i gotta strap my right hand though due to surgery back in november i tore some ligaments in my hand and cant pull more than about 315 without dropping it. My usual workout looks something like this
245x8
315x8
365x8
435x5
455 i sometimes get and sometimes i cant get it past the stick.
Looking for some help on what to do to improve my max. I usually do this one week and light squats 2 days later. The next week i do 4 sets of 8 with 315 but i squat heavy. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

been back deadlifting for 6 months after a 8 year layoff...
at 540lbs at the moment, done 5-plates for 5 reps, working towards 6 plates (and beyond), want to get there before June 2011
