    How to lift during a cut?

    OK so, when lifting during your cutting phase, many say to only do weights three days a week, ok but..during my bulk I only worked out three days a week as well, should I continue to follow the same lifting routine during my cut to preserve my muscle?

    The bulk was this

    Mon - Bi's and tri's
    Wed - Shoulders and back
    Fri - Lats and chest

    Abs and legs are done each day as well.

    The type of workout program you are doing isn't the biggest deal. As long as you keep lifting heavy, your body will be forced to keep as much muscle mass as possible because it is still being used. But why are you training legs everyday? Legs need time to recover- just like anything else. You migh be able to get away with doing abs everyday, but not legs
    I want to be offensively muscular.

    yeah a lot of what i've being reading has being saying to continue with your bulking workout and just control your calorie intake, eat about 3-500 below maintance,

    I did SS for three months while cutting. I managed linear progression for most of that time while losing 13kg. At the end of three months I had stalled on my lifts, and as I was still cutting, I switched to a maintanence routine. I lift twice a week (instead of 3), use the same lifts/weights I finished SS with, and the same warmups and 3x5 rep/set plan. I also added a few assistance excercises just for some variety. In the 6 weeks on the maintanence schedule I have lost 4kg weight, and improved most of my lifts by 2.5-5kg.

    Summary: Reduce volume, maintain intensity, profit!
