From that link , my 495 ( my current 1rm ) deadlift puts me 45 lbs under the current record holder @ 165 lbs.

I iz inspired !!! I got 3 years to stay this weight and up my deads by 45 lbs

So we are getting in a contest with a guy trying break an American strongman record.

lulz , Ive seriousily been considering doing a deadlift comp. I just need to fix my grip , aint no way I can pull that kinda numbers without straps.

No thank you...I do enjoy deadlifting, but hardly ever bother with it anymore, it's last on my personal priority list.

This is a great idea though, to have an open challenge for the O35 section. Five-star thread, for sure.

If ya dont mind Im not gonna split us into groups. When we post the vids , pics or post updates just say what group your competing in.

Im using straps atm but in 7 months if my grip strength improves I may switch and try without. Dont want me ( or anyone else ) to be stuck in a category. Dec is a long way off.
