    how many scoops of whey protein per day?

    usually I just use 2 in my post workout. The people at the supplement store said I should be taking like 9 scoops per day in order to build muscle.. is this true. They also say that I should be going through a tub per week.

    lol naw brah, the whey protein is just to supplement your protein intake, doing 9 a day would be like if you were replacing meals with the shakes

    Unless each scoop has like 10g of protein, you would probably be fine with 3 or 4 scoops in that case. Like others have said, protein shakes are meant to help you get in more protein when you're busy and such.

    There's not a set amount you should take. Also how much protein do you take in daily from meats/other sources? Most people recommend 1g per lb of body weight.
