Hey

Can anyone tell me how much protein is there in a can of tuna. I have a can with the nutritional values that say.

per 100g drained
27.0g protein

the can is 200g net, 150g drained weight.

Also, in before three fiddy.

4. that seems like a pretty large can of tuna.. the cans i have are 13 grams protein per servring and about 2.5 servings per can which is about 32 grams total

Per 100 gm has 27 gm protein

So times it by 1.5 -> 150gm drained = 27 * 1.5 = 40.5gm protein

6. Why would you ask if you read the back of the can? Most i've seen have between 22-30 grams. Depends on the brand. Only they know what quality of fish they actually put in your can

You can't be serious....

I don't mean to be a dick, but you're reading the label...and that's just basic math!

150g drained weight / 100g drained serving = 1.5 servings.

1.5 servings x 27g protein per serving = 40.5g protein per can
