Elliptical FTMFW. I go for 40 minutes 5 times a week, at a very high intensity level. It's helped me lose 15lbs in three weeks, so it must be working a bit .

thats a bit too much weight... and depending on your weight not much of that would be fat, mostly water..
but yeah it is a great machine, throw the stairclimber in there too. i hate how running is considered so popular for cardio when there is so much other better stuff to do.

you hate it, but you cannot hate facts, it burns a lot of calories and continues to do so during the day after you stopped running

as does all other cardio, running out of them all is the most likely to cause injury and is hard on your joints. most runners just do steady state running, not that great for fat loss... if you're going to run at least get into hiit sprinting.

    do you get bored?

i get bored running for too long - so i do intervals. i do stairs/bike/elliptical/rower...i do three of those, 10 minute intervals. then before i know it 30 mins is up & i'm working on doing 45. also stairs are good, as in, running up actual stairs...this is great outside. i run up two steps each, then run down, sometimes i make variations by sideways, etc.
seriously though, if you get bored, intervals really helps a lot.
And through it all...the biggest obstacle I have to face... is myself.

A fun way to do cardio is DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). That game where you step on the arrows. On the harder levels you burn about 20 calories for a one minute dance.

    Also, sport.

    Makes the time fly by.
