What are the benefits of consuming a Whey and Casein protein blend versus consuming Whey and Casein seperately?
I typically have a Whey shake in the morning and after a workout, and a Casein shake before I go to bed at night. I'll typically buy something like this for my supplement needs:

When I saw this product though, which is a Whey and Casein blend, I was pretty intrigued by it, but was also wondering whether or not there were any detrimental effects of consuming the two at the same time:

Is one better than the other? Should Whey and Casein be consumed seperately, or does it even matter whether the whey and casein are blended or not?

Whey can casein can be consumed together (milk is a blend) without any problems. It really doesn't matter if you decide to buy a blend or buy a separate whey and casein protein to meet your needs. I would do whatever is more convenient for you.

Studies have shown whey/casein blend to be more beneficial post workout than either alone.
Also, I have read on here and elsewhere that casein before bed alone is not a good idea, as soon as casein hits stomach acid it converts to a big blob and moves through the stomach before being able to be properly digested. So a blend before bed is best as well.Krispy Kreme Krew Forever.

ive read that its not good to mix whey and casein. This is because whey digest quickly almost completly in 20-40mins after ingesting. While casein takes about 2-4hrs to quickly digest. From what i know its better to take casein in the morning, whey at any point during the day and 15-30mins after a workout and casein at night. I believe that fully utalizes each proteins potential... both of which are from milk

I'm not a pro, but what I would do is this.
Personally i'll get a blend (Whey + casein type of product E.G Elite Gourmet whey from dymatize.) But if I had the cash I'll definitely go for Syntha 6. I truly love this product soo much because its the best tasting I have EVER had.
If cash was no issue then yea, i'll go separate but taking it at different timings which is MOST important.
Taking Whey right after workout and Casein shortly before bed time.
