When you're an alcoholic it isn't that simple, and when someone tries to buy me a drink wtf am I supposed to do turn them down? Not only does that go against my core value of accepting free things, it seems rude to other people and starts raising questions and makes things uncomfortable.
And like I said, I'm less than a month out of recovery for serious alcohol problems, I don't trust myself in a bar.

You gotta find people that dont drink if you want to get out of the house. I know what its like to go to a bar and not be able to not drink. If im there, im drinking. So, i stay home. Honestly, life is not fun right now, but i have decided i dont want to drink. So im going to stay away from the bars until i feel i can stay sober.
As for what I do on a friday or sat. night. Misc, PS3, hang out with people that dont drink.
Good luck with the recover and sobriety brah.***Georgia Crew***

I texted a few randoms I haven't talked to in ages in the hopes that they aren't going out (despite the fact I met them at bars)
I'm pretty good at getting the first couple dates........ terrible at maintaining them, I start to feel claustrophobic and start ignoring them, has lead me to a lot of disappointing finishes

Your only 21 and already been in AA? Man when I was 21 I got drunk about 5-6 days a week. My ex called AA and told them this, they said "He's just being 21 chill out call us when he wakes up with the shakes and has to keep a drink on the night stand for the morning" (srs) You must have been drinking since you were 12 or 13 or something. I mean they were right I grew out of it after a while.

for the most part when we go out we drink water, its free anyways, and after hitting the dancefloor its the best..... yeah ppl will ask u drinking water say yes, i dont wanna drink booze and done...
but if u still dont wanna go hit the clubs then do any of the stuff i told u in the rep.... theres alot of options.ADMA Muay Thai gym.

I know, I need to find a sober group of friends ASAP or else ima go stir crazy.
I have the group of alcoholic friends/acquaintances (this accounts for 90 percent of the people I know, they go out every weekend).
Then I have the group of pothead friends (I don't like smoking, gives me anxiety and hanging around with potheads sober=torture).
I can hit up my drinking bros during the week to lift/play sports and whatnot, but its these weekend nights that are killin me.

i do the same thing you did when you drank, i just remember it the next morning.
just because you are not drinking doesnt mean you have to be a friendless loser (sorry most of misc)WWJD-What Would Jesus Deadlift?

perhaps, it at least deserves a legitimate shot, I just gotta let my buddies know ahead of time if they pressure me I'm gonna just bounce or something
It's really a mixture of the two, I'm not gonna sit here and blame all my drinking problems on genes, but I'm certainly willing to point out I'm likely more predisposed to becoming dependent on alcohol than you are

Get on POF and find a girl, trust me there are plenty, and just start bangin hardcore all the time, also you are somewhat on the right tract when you speak of not making fri/sat. nights a big deal as opposed to other nights.

Tell you a secret mane. Food coloring at the bar brah. Order water drop blue food coloring in and you got yourself what apears to be a cocktail. Gigner ale looks just like a CC&7. Crown and 7. If no ginger ale is availible then get sprite and add a drop of yellow and a drop of orange food coloring. It will give it that amber look........
A friend of mine does this all the time. I am one of the only ones who knows they dont drink at bars.
