For the effort they put in?
I mean, i serioulsy fuking bust my ass in the gym 4 days a week. Ive done various routines over the last couple years , ive counted calories, ive 'bulked' and honestly the gym is the only thing the keeps me sane. For having so much fun lifting yet getting very little out of it, i feel like im just chasing my own tail
And after two years of busting my ass, here i am with 15.5 inch semi fatceps, 36 inch chest , no definition anywhere and developing love handles. After two years instead of being 110 pounds skinny fat im now 175 pounds skinny fat.
It fuking sucks not enjoying having your shirt off after lifting very seriously for 2 years. I mean, being embarassed to take your fuking shirt off is a fat people trait ffs. I shouldnt feel this way after 2 years of extremely dedicated lifting.
Im not gonna say that i cry about this everyday, but il tell you whenever i see a weekend warrior thats been in the gym for a couple months max make more progress then me, i get fuking infuriated. Not sad or butthurt but straight up rage.
I mean seriously what the fuk can you do if your body doesnt want to cooperate with you? No matter how big my pecs get, im still gonna have these gay ass puffy nipples. And its not even gyno , its just my body being g@y as fuk.
I seriously feel like im swimming in a pool with an anchor attached to me.
Not looking for any fuking pity, just felt the need to vent.

Its probably your diet. I was the hardest worker in my college gym by far (I never saw anybody else do deads/squats even!), but my diet (well, and my genetics) worked against me.
More than anything, understanding WHEN to eat what things has helped me out. Keeping my simple sugars to PWO only has made a big difference!

What does strength even mean though if you look like ****
Not only are my strenght gains slow but theres literally no difference in how i look between when I deadlifted 315 and now when I deadlift 420+ (havnt tested max in a while)
I hate to sound like an emo ******* but its hard to enjoy yourself in life when the thing you enjoy the most doing is what you happen to suck balls at.Best lifts (Don't lift for strength anymore. No more deadlifts or squats)

I could feel that way - my progress has been pretty pathetic. But ultimately, that's almost certainly always been down to the fact that I've not eaten enough. Had I bothered to inform myself, I would have done better.
Shoulda woulda coulda doesn't get anyone anywhere, however. You just carry on and try to improve what you do.

Believe me even though im demotivated as fuk , i still chug down my white flood and bust my ass in the gym and with my diet
Appreciate the reply but with all due respect, i was the guy that would refuse to go out to eat with friends because of diet. I was always serious about diet, even though it sucked balls i always followed it with the hope that the end results will be worth it
I honestly wouldnt be surprised if 80 percent what i gained is fat
Ive actually worked otu for about 3 years. I didnt include the first year in my OP because i didnt know what i was doing.Best lifts (Don't lift for strength anymore. No more deadlifts or squats)

I try to work both hard AND smart. A bunch of my lifting buddies always tell me i always overthink things AKA working "too smart". The advice they give me is just "eat big and lift hard", as if thats not what im doing already
Ive done various diets. Right now im on a 3000 calorie diet with around 220 grams of protein. Only reason its that low calories is because ive experimented with high calorie diets and i just get fat.

You have no idea how much im consdering it.
Problem is i dont want my puffy nipples to turn into actual gyno. I dont have those solid glands behind my nipples but im afraid il develope them.
Plus baldness runs in my family
Im stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Im still looking at doing something mild like h-drol to give me back some confidence.
im fuking enraged

Bro....
The results you've gotten are EXCELLENT for two years. You just could lose a little BF, go on a cut and don't expect to gain. 500 calories of carbs below the point where "you don't gain anything", so 2,300 to 2,500 cals, and high intensity cardio.
this you in November? You're hardly the michelin man
Cut the calories down to 500 less than where you don't gain anything.

We are our own worst critics. Chasing perfection causes us to focus on what we least admire about ourselves. Oftentimes I'll receive complements, yet what I see, and I imagine the majority of individuals with our passion see, is what they feel need to change.
This lifestyle isn't a race, it's a marathon. I've been at it for 7 years now and I've learned much, not only about how to achieve an admirable physique, but about myself. Lifting isn't just about looking good naked.USMC Naval Aviator - F/A-18 Hornets

Yeah man i know what you mean. Problem is im not really in a position to either cut or bulk without major sacrifices.
If i cut il look like a skeleton. I dont have a big enough peak on my arms, and it will probably dissapear with a cut. My chest is only 36 inches, if i cut its probably gonna be reduced to 2 nipples on a flat chest lol.
On the other hand i can bulk slowly (which im doing now). Im trying my hardest to minimize fat gains, but going this route wont get rid of existing fat.
See above.
I actually DID cut for a couple months. I just started my new clean bulk this month actually, so im fresh off a cut. I lost 5 pounds and noticed my abs getting tighter but it was obvious my arms were shriveling up and my chest was gonna be nonexistent after my cut. Plus strength gains slowed down. I just dont think its worth it at this point. Its not even a matter of willpower, since i actually prefer a cutting diet.
Thats the motto i followed when i first started lifting. I listened to rippeotes bull**** to just stuff my face and i got strong, but i just gained fat with no significant muscle.
Appreciate it, but i gained wayyyy too much fat for the small amount of muscle i gained. For the last year, the 175 was really just a number to inflate my ego.Best lifts (Don't lift for strength anymore. No more deadlifts or squats)
