I guess If I can't get good at bodybuilding, my only alternative is to become an adult movie star.

    Current Gunpowder Log:

    Optimum Nutrition Proxomplex
    Optimum Nutrition 100% Casein

BTW - Soy may be good, Soy may be bad, I guess I'll never know.

You should not be taking in protein directly after your workout... If you are out of protein for a few days that sucks just make sure to take in protein and hour before and and hour after your workout.

Therefore, you want to feed your muscles and to provide the muscle building foods that you body needs to begin repairing and building muscle as soon as possible following your weight training workout.

Basically you want the whey protein shake after you workout because it absorbs fast to your broken down muscles. So ya, it sucks if you dont have your whey. But you should eat chicken breast or lean beef probably an hour after you workout, along with some carbs.

Stop by an animal shelter and buy a cat.

Munch on it straight after your workout while still at the gym.

You will get both protein and carbs.

Uh oh...i'm doing it all wrong then. I have protein pre-workout (they whey I mix into my cottage cheese), intra-workout (the ongoing digestion of the casein from the cottage cheese), and post-workout (whey shake immediately post lifting). Not to mention BCAA's, arginine, & glutamine. Hmm... I don't eat carbs, so maybe I should just eat slabs of fat pre & post?

Ahh, another nutrient timing broski. Care to support this declaration with science? You just made a pretty broad statement without even knowing the training parameters and whether OP was training fed/fasted and if fed, what and when that pre-training feeding included.
