    TehMan - Animal Cuts - Get Cut For Summer Log



    I took animal cuts before but I didn't stick to a strict diet and even though I saw results it wasn't what i could've. For the past 7 months i've been working on weight loss and i've switched from different supplements trying to see what works best and Animal Cuts was one of my favorites.

    Recently I took up IF, intermittent fasting, as part of my diet plan. For two days out of the week I fast for a 24 hour period and on the other days I stick to a low calorie/low portion diet. I try to eat mostly whole grains, all natural, organic and high protein stuff while still watching the calories.

    I haven't been taking any supplements except for protein since i've started the IF plan. I'm hoping that Animal Cuts gives me the extra push my body needs to drop the unwanted body demon (fat) lol...

    Going in to this i was going to do a 5 day work out plan but with being a single father that has custody of my daughter, working 5 jobs 7 days and some nights a week...i can only work in 3 days a week at the gym. So this will be my 3 days split that i run (which is the current work out i am doing):

    Tuesday
    Flat Bench Press 3x4-6
    Incline Dumbbell Press 3x4-6
    Decline Barbell Bench Press 3x4-6
    Cable Flies 3x4-6
    Flat Bench Dumbbell Fly's 3x4-6
    Lat Pull-Downs 3x4-6
    Dumbbell Shrugs 3x4-6
    Barbell Shrugs 3x4-6
    Seated Cable Rows 3x4-6

    Thursday
    Tricep Extensions (Rope) 3x4-6
    Barbell Bicep Curls 3x4-6
    Skull Crushers 3x4-6
    Concentrated Cable Curls 3x4-6
    Reverse Grip Tricep Pull 3x4-6
    Corkscrew Shoulder Press 3x4-6
    Lateral Dumbbell Raises 3x4-6
    Upright Rows 3x4-6
    Tricep Dips 3xFailure

    Sunday
    Squats 3x4-6
    Standing Calf Raises 3x4-6
    Leg Extensions 3x4-6
    Weighted Crunch 3x14-16

    as of right now i don't do any cardio except for my MMA training...simply because i hate cardio...so for the remainder of this log i might stick to no cardio unless the reps think i should be doing it. I use to do HIIT cardio before i started my IF diet plan so i can always go back to it if needed.

    this is me @ 178lbs taken March 27th

    these were taken March 31st @ 174lbs





    hopefully this can help me get down to where i want to be which is closer to the 8-9% bf range. I'll be updating this every day after I start taking the Animal Cuts. Thank you so much for the opportunity and good luck to the other 4 lucky people who were selected to participate in this.

    B, my Easter was spent working a double and then hitting the gym for a bit...i received my Cuts package


    i have a lot of stuff going on this week that i fear will interfere with my log so i am planning on starting this next monday...my fasting days will be tuesdays and saturdays...some saturdays will be switched to sundays depending on my work schedule...my work out days will be tuesday, thursday and sunday of every week...i just went grocery shopping for everything i need for the diet i will be doing for the duration of this log. i'm pretty excited to start it

    i am now down to 172lbs...slowly losing it and hoping Animal Cuts makes the progress speed up

    i don't train saturday but i do on sunday...but i don't go until 10pm and i don't think they will let you in the gym with me...i'll ask when i go tonight though and see what they say

    i have my final work out plan done...i've set my fasting days and the diet and everything is finally planned out right...with that being said...no matter what happens I'll be starting my logs on monday. I started the diet this past Monday and figured I'd give my body a week to get use to it before adding the Cuts in the mix. I'll be logging everything in this thread as well as my bodyblog which i already started with the diet.

    Gotcha. I thought you were saying you wouldn't be able to really put in the time that you wanted... now I gotcha.

    yeah...i thank you again for the opportunity and I feel bad at how long it has taken for me to start so i'm going to put all effort in to this now

    Started

    I was finally able to start my Animal Cuts this morning and man, oh man, does it feel good. I love the feeling i get from these things!


    My new weight going in to this is 167.8lbs. My measurements are at the bottom of this post and here are pictures as of 4/19/10:



    This is copied and pasted from my bodyblog. I do an every day log on it so i figured this would be the same thing as that.

    Happy Monday, everyone. Back to my 9 to 5 I went this morning bright and early. Of course in order to be able to properly function today I had to start the day off with a good breakfast. I took my egg count down to 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg all scrambled up and accompanied them by 4 strips of turkey bacon. I went and picked up some real bacon, bacon to replace the turkey bacon when I finish the rest of it up. The Anabolic diet says to use real bacon because it’s good for you so I’m following that. Monday’s are the hardest day of the week for me at work. Billing, invoicing, filing, payroll, insurance claims and we had to fire the new person we just hired a month ago. I managed to keep a smile on my face all day, though.

    Monday’s we have family night after work. All my brothers, sister and inlaws gather together and we cook a big meal. It’s a good time for us all to catch up with each other and a time for my parents to see all the kids and grand kids together. Of course, family night wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t have a big fattening meal to go with it. Considering I’m half Korean, we tend to do rice with every meal and normally some kind of vegetables or potato side dish and a meat. Tonight we did Bulgogi which is a Korean stir fry with beef, onions, bell peppers and loaded with sauce. The sauce normally contains soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, sugar and other things that are not good for my diet.



    I some how managed to stick with my meal plan though. I got about a cup of meat, a couple pieces of broccoli and 4 leafs of lettuce. So i basically ate lettuce wraps instead of stir fry with rice. Low carb isn’t as hard as people think it is lol. My daughter looked at me funny and asked me how come I wasn’t eating rice. I just told her that I couldn’t have it but it was still good for her lol. Then, As a family we all went outside to visit the spot where my dog was buried 2 days ago after finding out that he got hit by a car. It was tough but we all stuck it out and said nice things about him. It was nice.

    Enough of the sob talk. I started taking my Animal Cuts supplement today as part of my sponsorship log provided to me by Universal Nutrition. I got a burning sensation in my stomach after taking it, but it was a good burn. It also made me have to go to the bathroom alot more. I guess it’s getting all that water out of me that I’m drinking lol. Today wasn’t a work out day so I didn’t have to go crazy with my meals and I just stuck to the basics. At around 3pm i normally eat my snack to break the gap from lunch to dinner. Today for some reason when the time came for it, I just really wasn’t hungry so I skipped it. It didn’t make that much of a difference. I was still as energetic as the other days.

    My stats again are the following
    Calories needed daily = 1909.1
    Added calories for activity = 572.73
    Calories needed to maintain = 2481.83

    So I have to eat under 2481.83 calories daily in order to successfully lose weight over.

    Today being a noncarb/nongym day my meal plan was the following:

    * Breakfast
    * Snack
    * Lunch
    * Dinner

    The day needs to be split up like this as far as macros go:
    Noncarb days = 40% protein, 60% fat, 25g carbs max

    So today this was my total eating

    Breakfast

    1 whole egg
    2 egg white
    4 Turkey bacon

    Total = 184 cals, 6.1 fats, 5.9 carbs, 25.2 protein

    Snack

    Polly-o natural cheese twist - 60 cals, 4 fat, 0 carbs, 6 protein

    Shake

    Lipotropic protein shake w/ flaxseed oil - 275 cals, 16 fat, 3 carbs, 25 protein

    Lunch

    8oz chicken breast

    1 cup fat free chicken brother

    Total - 231 cals, 5 fat, 0.8 carbs, 48.2 protein

    Basically, what I tried to do was eat as little bit of carbs as I could before family night tonight so i could eat what was being served. 3.8g’s of carbs is what I ended up with before dinner time. Not bad, in my opinion. Now as far as dinner goes….

    Dinner

    1 - 3.5oz Bulgogi - 325 cals, 12 fat, 12 carbs, 39 protein
    4 - Lettuce leafs - 8 cals, .1 fat, 1.8 carbs, .5 protein
    2 - little pieces of broccoli

    So after dinner I still only ended up with a little over 20.5g’s of carbs and I was stuffed. Like I said in previous blog posts, Eating low carb just keeps getting easier and easier. lol

    Drinks

    Crystal Light Pomegranate Lemon - 5 cals, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 protein
    Crystal Light Raspberry Lemon - 10 cals, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 protein
    Water
    Black Coffee

    Supplements I Took:

    Animal Cuts
    Lipotropic Protein Shake
    Flaxseed Oil
    Optimum Nutrition Glutamine
    Optimum Nutrition BCAA
    3x Spring Valley 1000mg Fish Oil - 30 cals, 3 fats, 0 carbs, 0 protein

    Total = 1129 cals, 46.2 fats, 20.5 carbs, 144 protein

    here is my macro count:
    Fat = 39%
    Protein = 54%
    Carbs = 8%

    I didn’t do too bad. I really want my protein intake to be closer to 1g per pound of my weight. I am weighing in at 167.8lbs now so I wasn’t far from it but I really hate not meeting a goal i set. Looks like tomorrow I’m just going to have to step it up a notch. Tomorrow is a gym day so I have to eat a more than I did today. Hopefully I can make most of it be protein.

    Also, it’s been a month since I’ve done my measurements so my brother and I decided to take them last night. I was pretty shocked at how much smaller I have gotten over a month. here they are:

    Measurements:

    chest went down from 43inches to 40.5
    bicep went down from 14.25 to 13.5
    shoulders went down from 50.5 to 46.5
    neck went down from 15.5 to 15
    forearm went down from 11 to 10.5
    calves went down from 15.5 to 15
    thighs went up from 19 to 19.3

    The only thing that got bigger was my thighs. I forgot to check my hips last night and I forgot to check my waist last month but last night my waist was 32.5. Next month when i check my measurements again I’ll be able to document my hips and waist. i need to start getting bigger in terms of muscle. I’ll wait until after this month on the Animal Cuts to do so. Until tomorrow.

    thanks man! i'm doing the Anabolic diet really...so i can only have 25g's of carbs a day on my low carb days...so some days i'll eat more veggies but some times i give the veggies up for other things lol

    haha thanks! at the rate i'm going my goal shouldn't be to hard to reach...i have alot of people trying to break me and make me fail, which sucks since these people are my friends, but my motivation and dedication is too high for them to mess me up

    haha, yeah i know...These people always hating actually go to the same gym as me and we all hang out with each other alot. The claim they are losing weight because they work out 7 days a week but i really don't see it. plus the "i lost 6lbs in one day" claim is really iffy to me. i see these people almost every day...last month he was 246...this month he is 245...that's not 6lbs?!?! lol
