3/4 c ground up oats
1/2 c cottage cheese
1/4 c skim milk
1/4 c egg whites
1 whole egg
1/4 c sugar free syrup
1 tsp cinnamon (or more if you like....I do)
1 tsp vanilla
1 or more scoops protein powder of choice (vanilla and cinnamon bun is good)
1 tsp baking powder
2 packets of splenda
Blend it all up in a blender or just use a spoon....less messy.
I also put in some ground flax and cocoa sometimes to change it up.
It makes about 7-8 nice size pancakes

ha, the phrase whole wheat is nowhere to be seen in that recipe.. looks good nonetheless!
Bowl 1
1 cup whole wheat flour
2T sugar
1/2t baking soda
1/2t baking powder
Bowl 2
1 cup buttermilk
2 egg whites
Bowl 3
2T butter
2 egg yolks
Mix each bowl, add bowl 3 to bowl 2 and mix. add the wet mixture to bowl 1 and whisk for 10 seconds. This is 830 kcal with the ingredients I use.
For a little more low cal version sub 1 cup butter milk for 1/3 cup nonfat milk and .5 cup nonfat yogurt, whole eggs for 1/2 cup egg whites, and maybe butter for 1/2T oil. Bout 640 kcal.Last edited by SAT10; 03-10-2010 at 07:05 PM.
