First thing that strikes me is that it's a good balance of High BA guys and BA liabilities that will provide good counting stats. Smart move imo. You are going to need Heyward to pan out...or make a trade for some more power imo.
You pitching on the other hand kind of scares me. If Ubaldo doesn't repeat...and Hamels never finds his 08 stuff....it could be a long season for you.MFC

First let me say that this is the 9th year of this KEEPER league and my keepers were Martinez, Pujols, Hernandez, Hughes and Broxton. This league is a head to head Auction draft cap of $360, On base plus slugging league and the pitching was CRAZY over priced....and yes, I do have Arod and Pujols, lolz
12 team head to head
Ok, so there is always one team who overbids on all of the pitching, so I missed out and they have like 14 pitchers. No way they keep them all so they will drop some for me to snag. Also, do to a draft SNAFU (drafted too many players) Erik Bedard had to be dropped, so I have a waiver in for him. I will probably drop Vernon Wells or Travis Snyder to add a pitcher. Since Volquez is on DL I can add Bedard without dropping anyone.
C - Victor Martinez $25
1st - Albert Pujols $60
2nd - Scott Sizemore $2
3rd - Alex Rodriguez $71
SS - Erix Aybar - $2
RF - Michael Cuddeyer - $2
CF - Rajai Davis - $2
LF - Juan Rivera - $2
Util - Mark Teixera -$68
Util Carlos Pena - $7
Bench - Desmond Jennings - $2
Bench - Buster Posey - $2

in a predicament - i have russel martin and he's looking shaky to start the season due to injury.
on the bench i have;
eric aybar - homer pick that i refuse to let go
kasey magahee - starting at 3rd
nick swisher - good numbers
dexter fowler - my steals guy off the bench
alberto callaspo - he's gonna start at 3rd with gordon hurt
who am i to drop to pick up A.J. pierzynski? really it's between magahee and callaspo, but i cannot decide between the 2.Last edited by richard02; 03-29-2010 at 11:00 AM.

So, in addition to my 14-team league, I'm doing a 10-team H2H league with 11 Categories -- OPS is the extra one, so pitching is demphisized obviously. Even so, pitching flew off the board at a ridiculous rate and I stuck with drafting offense.

It might be the best offense I've ever drafted. I also ended up with the most SP, whereas everyone else went for offensive bench depth. My plan is to simply bombard opponents with SP so I can win Wins and K's every week. I'll likely lose ERA and WHIP most weeks, but I should win saves most weeks if I maintain four closers. On the offensive side, I expect to win the majority of categories every week as well since no other offense in the league is nearly as good as mine. It seems flawless to me, haha."My only enemy is time." - Charlie Chaplin
