Hello readers, I decided I would run a log, but it will just be a weekly update type. I'm in this to win it.
I'll post my starting stats here shortly, and maybe my before pictures...
To the others in the contest, good luck! I hope you reach your goals too

Just ordered two tubs of Double-T Sports CreaDyl (once of each flavor) to add to my stack!
I guess now I'll have to log all my workouts in here, and I'll be putting in a few comments about CreaDyl once it arrives and I start taking it.BluePrint Believer!

Ugh... Started feeling sick yesterday, headache got worse throughout the day, woke up around 3am with a quality migraine and puked up the painkillers I tried to take... so today is off work, I'm taking it easy and recovering, and I seem to have lost a lot of weight but I'm assuming its mostly water weight and the fact I didn't eat much since yesterday afternoon...

Soo! I finally got back into lifting after a 2 week or so break. I was planning to start last Friday when the contest began, but my wrist has been giving me serious issues and its only been the past few days since its felt okay.
Since I'm coming off a break & I'm still not 100%, I decided to just have a quick, light workout.
Box Squat
0x10
20x12
40x12
Seated DB Shoulder Press
20x8
25x8
Incline DB Bench Press
25x8
20x8
DB Bentover Rows
25x8
20x8
Ez-bar Curls
20x8
30x8
Later on tonight if I feel energetic I have a few other exercises planned, but at least I got the main lifts done.BluePrint Believer!

So last night's supper I decided I should "carb up" a bit and ate some "cheat foods" so I gained 2lbs over night. I feel good about this.
After work today I think I'll be tossing a football around with a friend and then maybe hitting the weights again with another light session to get myself back on my planned schedule (Mon-Wed-Fri). I decided I need to invest in some more dumbbells for home (heaviest currently: 30lbs; want 40s for chest/shoulders/back) and maybe some larger sized plates. I work out at home mainly so I'm limited by a few things, but I can still get in pretty decent workouts.
That's all for now...
Back later with what really happens.BluePrint Believer!

Today's training included 20 minutes of incline walking on my treadmill.
I'm starving, I've barely eaten all day (wake up at 6am to get ready for work, and its now 13 hours later, and I've consumed less than 600 calories - 330 at breakfast (7am), 252 at lunch (12)..)
SO... since I'm sooo low in calories... I'm giving myself a treat tonight (heh heh heh)...
Burger King for dinner!
Fits the macros, and I'll STILL be under my daily cals.
Calorie is a calorie, right?? :PBluePrint Believer!

Burger King became Wendy's and my cals ended up a littttttle over, but it was so nice
This morning is my official "1 week" weigh in - 70.0kg on the button, thats 154lbs. I'm 6lbs away from tieing my lowest point in the last 3 years (148lbs). Probably longer than 3 years actually...
Anyways, my goal was to be 70.5kg or less, so first goal has been reached. Yay.
Progress so far:
From BEFORE pictures: -8.36lbs
From Mar 5th (morning): -6.38lbs (week 1 total loss)BluePrint Believer!

I must post in this thread. haha
Glad the weight is coming off. I'm looking forward to my re-feed this weekend. I need it. I didn't have one last weekend so this will be nice.
Can i ask what your diet looks like? You talk about it a little but there's no detail..

That's because its super top secret and I don't want to give any info away
...
But in all seriousness, right now I'm just trying to get ~1500 cals a day, typical 40p/40c/20f scheme. I've been using fit day and I have another log on MsTropix's message board (found in her sig) where I show off my fitday information. I suppose I could post all that here too... I'll consider it lol.
Once I get home I'll probably do a little diet update on here, at minimum show how much I ate each day for the past week.BluePrint Believer!

I used to train 6-7 days a week lifting far heavier than that... but it definitely wasn't aiding in the weight loss... so i had to cut back. Lifting only 3 days a week puts a lot less stress on my body I suppose, but, I like lifting every day
PR's worth mentioning since my knee injury...
Bench Press - 137x1
Seated DB Shoulder Press - 40lbs x 8
Squat - 115x8 (to at least parallel)
Leg Press - 6 plates x 10 (I'll double check the numbers on this)
Assisted Wide Grip Pullup - 85lb offset x 6 (also needs checking.. its all written down at home)
Assisted Dips - 40lb offset x4
Deadlift - 220x4, 235x1
Back in November I had some tryouts for the national football team, I couldn't do all the speed/jumping drills, but I did do the situp and pushup portion... both PR's by a lot.
Pushups - 21 in 1 minute (haha... that was a one time thing... I can barely do 5 right now)
Situps - 42 in 1 minute
I fully expect my strength to drop off as I'm losing weight, but I'm hoping that if I reach my desired look before the end of the contest, I can begin "Bulking" (the thought of bulking in itself is very exciting) and pass those numbersBluePrint Believer!

I've only been taking it for a week, and I started it again the same time as I started the ZMA (I took ZMA before about a year ago). I was hoping that the pair would aid in sleep quality and lowering stress and such... I can't really comment on how well it's working out for me at this point in time. But after another week or so I'll reevaluate and let ya know.

I've sworn myself off liquor for this challenge, HOWEVER I have told my good friend that if I reach certain goals by certain dates, I will drink with her (like, originally it was if i was 155 by her birthday which was going to be this weekend, but now its next weekend so i told her 150lbs). I probably won't drink anyways (she won't force me i hope) because I'm pretty sure I've finally convinced her how detrimental alcohol intake is to weight loss. She usually comes back with the "ohh its just 1 night!" and well... you all know how it goes. Alcohol = loads of empty poison calories + MUNCHIES...
That vodka+xtend is sooo intriguing though.... heheh!
PS kudostojen I got your email, shot you back a thanks.BluePrint Believer!

Oh and I'm supposed to lift some weights today, but I'm DEADLY tired....
I also have coffee plans with a friend... so if she gets back to me with a time that's relatively soon I'll have to either do my workout later or tomorrow (which isn't a big issue on a 3x/wk exercise plan).
Chances are I won't hear a peep anytime soon so off to the basement with me!
EDIT: ughh... its been a lil over an hour since i posted this.. i still havent gotten to the basement.. im sooo DRAINED... tired... today at work just sucked the rest of my soul out... i was so motivated to get sh*t done while i was at work, but around 330 (45 minutes before i get to leave) my energy just completely dropped off and i feel miserable and super tired... i really just want to go to sleep... but i shouldnt. I should at least do some exercise. If not the weights, then cardio...
Trying to get my super tired butt off the couch and go get er done....
Thinking about what to have for supper.... leaning towards swiss chalet.... lolLast edited by beefcake66; 03-12-2010 at 02:19 PM.

ok... so i managed to force myself to do 30 minutes of extremely boring and ass-pain-inducing LISS cardio on my stationary bike... not feeling much better, still on the down and tired side, so im just flakin out at my computer, waitin to see if my coffee date gets back to me, and a friend is on the way over to visit. oy.
sittin at around 1100 cals so far for the day... still deciding on supper... and still leaning towards swiss chalet lolBluePrint Believer!

So I thought I would take one of my waist measurements again. I know it's only been a week but seriously feeling like the weight is melting off... so I did it.
On March 4th: Waist (belly button): 38.125"
On March 13th: Waist (belly button): 36.75"
Apparently I've lost over an inch on one of my most visible fat stores! THAT'S AWESOME!
I didn't know it could disappear that fast.... Maybe I was retaining a lot of water?BluePrint Believer!

You can shrink quickly.
I was posting in another thread about the "whooshing" of fat. People always say that the fat is squishy before the whoosh, but i like to say that it's less dense (fat is already squishy). That's how mine's been feeling for the last week, less dense.
Here's something for you to keep in mind. I can clearly feel the top 2 ab muscles when i run my hand across my stomach. There's a major indent between the two muscle when i lightly flex them so there..
