...I know owning supplements is cool and all, but who cares if they take stuff off the market which they feel could potentially harm people? Besides the industry itself, I can't see the consumer being affected very much, it would just pretty much filter out alot of the crap that's for sale anyway.

I understand and agree with you on having your own choice as I don't believe government intervention is the answer, however, this was inevitable.

for real its like we all know if something sketch is in a product or if a certain company is sketch. That is if you have any sense your right companies put **** in supplements that can be harmful but within a week everyone and their mom knows anyways and that company is then sketch.

Did you read the bill? I did not see this anywhere in it. In fact, I'm against Government intervention in the free market but I saw items in this bill that I like. For example keeping a chronicle of complaints for a period of 3 years.

However you're saying if someone does not properly research a company prior to buying an over the counter nutritional supplement, they deserve to possibly consume something that could harm them. Strong logic. The government has to protect the general well-being of the people, it is one thing to screw people over with a worthless product, it's another thing to sell them something that could have repercussions on their health.
