Ghetto way to decrease angle on incline bench

    My bench only does 90, 45, 0, -45.

I wanted a lower angle for my incline bench work (consensus being the ideal is 30 degrees), so I placed a 30lb plate under each front foot of the bench, this tips back the bench a little making the angle closer to 40 or 35.

I lay my bench flat and then put 4-55 lb plates under both the back legs...

If I really want a workout, I lay my bench flat, contract my abs until I am in a partial sit-up and do incline presses like that...

well, the plates i understand. why would you do incline presses with no back support? seems like a maybe a good ab exercise, but not so effective for a chest movement.

My bench has one setting, flat.

I had to create a way to manipulate gravity so I could tilt the gravitational pull on the weight to achieve the preferred range of motion.

As for the real response, I do not like setting legs of a bench on plates, ESPECIALLY a stack of multiple plates. It's too easy for them to shift.

Use mats, or screw some planks of wood together to make something sturdy.
