My bench only does 90, 45, 0, -45.
I wanted a lower angle for my incline bench work (consensus being the ideal is 30 degrees), so I placed a 30lb plate under each front foot of the bench, this tips back the bench a little making the angle closer to 40 or 35.

My bench has one setting, flat.
I had to create a way to manipulate gravity so I could tilt the gravitational pull on the weight to achieve the preferred range of motion.

As for the real response, I do not like setting legs of a bench on plates, ESPECIALLY a stack of multiple plates. It's too easy for them to shift.
Use mats, or screw some planks of wood together to make something sturdy."I am only one man, but I am a strong man."
