Does Whey protein cause hair loss.

I have started taking whey protein this week, but some articles on the internet say that it can cause hair loss. I always thought that protein would be good for hair growth, a lot of the bodybuilders i see are bald and they must take supplements as well. I would hate to go bald, especially as there is absolutely no family history of it.

I highly doubt it. I know people who have been using whey for years with a full head of hair. I wouldn't worry much about 90% of the stuff you read randomnly on the internet

A lot of bodybuilders are bald because they take tons of steroids, which CAN cause hair loss. Whey does not.

Male pattern baldness is genetic. Generally, if your mom's dad went bald, you've got a good chance of going bald too.

My grandfather was bald and so far I am doing OK. My brother still has quite a bit of hair as well.

I've seen lots of pictures of men during the 1930's and 1940's wearing hats. They were in fashion. Then, lots of men from that era ended up bald. Hmm, maybe the act of wearing a hat makes you bald.

Yes it can, I mixed a scoop of whey with a fifth of Goldschläger. This resulted in me loosing hair via shaving my nutsack.

    hair lost

maybe im predisposed to male pattern hairloss. Maybe i inherited a very bad gene for hairloss, either way, when i started taking whey protein, It accelerated my hair loss. I noticed my hair thinning and more than a hundred plus of hair fall a day. Also, my head got badly inflamed. this is just my experience. Some guys are lucky that they can take whey for years without any adverse effects, in my case, im the unlucky person.*
