    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sf/prota-lyn.html

    Highlights:

*USDA prime choice milking cattle are chosen for the milk source.
*No steroids are used on these cows, nor is any GMO food.
    *Increased Nitrogen Utilization & Retention
    *Increased Digestibility and Absorption

In order to explain why Prota-Lyn is the ultimate protein powder, it is important to
understand how proteins are tested by the FDA.

Order of scores= WPC, Casein, Beef, Eggs, Prota-lyn

    A). Biological Value (BV) 93.8, 88.0, 76.4, 93.7, 96.4

    limiting indispensable amino acid

    D). Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) .9, 1.0, .92, 1.0, 1.0
The amino acid score with an added digestibility component.

This will be a log based on taste and mixability with different liquids and other shake ingredients I use. If you would like to see me try something, post it, and if its available in the dining hall Ill try it. My opinion will be based off of the taste and mixability in water because that is typically how I consume my shakes. A final review will be posted in the review section.

    For now, Ill be making:
    -Shake with water
    -Shake with almond milk
    -Shake with rice milk
-Shake with water and peanut butter
    -Shake with water and oats
    -Peanut Butter Sludge

So ive tried it a few times now, here are my initial thoughts.

first, i stirred up 1 scoop in about 10 oz of water. i always stir new things just to see how they mix, since anything should mix in a blender/shaker anyways. it mixed up pretty good, but there were a few brown spots that looked like cocoa powder that clumped up. they were a different shade then the rest of the powder.

second time i made it, i did about 16 oz of water with 2 scoops. blended up perfect, but i sipped it slow and after sitting for a while, some of the powder collected on the bottom, almost like silt.

as for taste, the taste is a pretty good chocolate. nothing special, but definitely something that can be enjoyed and sipped on. its definitely a good chocolate flavor though.

it is slightly gritty, almost like a rice protein powder but not bad. im assuming thats because its partly grain protein.

for my pwo shake today, i mixed up 1 scoop with 1/4 cup oats, ~1 tbsp peanut butter, and 8 oz of water. it mixed up great, minus the oats. the taste with the chocolate and peanut butter is one of the best ive ever had. i would say it is better definitely a better choc pb flavor than XFs choc. pb, which IMO tastes a lot more like just peanut butter.

my only complaint is that ive noticed when i rinse out my blender cup, there are little specs left over on the side from the protein powder which are really difficult to clean off. im sure it would be easier if the cup was washed in a dish washer, but because i use the cup 2-3 times a day i normally just rinse it out. even blending water and soap didnt clean it out much, and that normally does the trick.

but so far, great taste and mixibility. texture is a little different, but nothing i would see anyone complaining about.

just mixed 2 scoops protalyn in 10oz almond milk

mixed up good again. texture was a little more normal and tasted creamier, but overall about the same.

just realized i cant get rice milk anymore, so i wont be mixing with that.

also, i need to grab a bowl from the dininghall before i can make sludge. hopefully ill be able to get it in a day or 2.

for now, only complaint so far is still that its difficult to clean out my blender cup. other than that, this stuff is pretty good.

i made sludge to go with my dinner. i did 2 tbsp peanut butter with 2 scoop protalyn. i used a paper bowl and plastic spoon, so it was difficult to mix.

it tasted like a typical chocolate sludge mix but had the texture of sludge made with casein

    final review up!
