I have no idea, he and Dex just look ridiculously tied in these pics. Phils hammies are a lot more developed than Dex's, but Dexters delts and traps are more complete. Phils lats look larger than Dexters, but Dex's chest is bigger than Phils. My mind just keeps running around in circles.

No.
I tried to find the 2008 Olympia scorecard but if I remember correctly Dexter got a perfect score at the prejudging and it was more spread out at the night show. Your pictures are from the finals, where Dexter did not recieve a perfect score (again, as far as I can remember)."that guy is like a damn unicorn" -Evan Centopani on Mamdouh Elsbiay

No. Dexter had it locked up. It's called conditioning. Dexter was sharper than Phil and Jay on both days. Dexter was just too dry and hit his mark. Phil will have his day, but he needs to learn what his body is telling him. This will avoid stomach problems and he'll be in condition. Look forward to the 2010 Mr. O.

The do match up very well. And I think in 2010 Phil will beat Dex. But, if NOTHING else, look at the lower back area of the 2. Dex has muscle and is bone dry. Phil is bone dry also...but is lacking muscle. If for NO OTHER reason, that would give the advantage to Dex. However, dex has more then just that working for him.

then ask the judges, not us!
on this forum, you are going to get a good combination of
1. other fanatical fan's "opinions"
2. Bro-science
3. 2D pictures which show NOTHING
if you were at the pre-judging and sat right behind the Judges, you would have a better perspective on just how difficult it is to judge competitors at that high level of achievement.....

HERE: I started your "homework" for you:
a basic outline for judging:
http://www.bodybuildingcompetitiongu...singrounds.htm
a little more detailed:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/shepley1.htm
and even better: a SEMINAR ( !! ) teaching HOW to judge:
http://www.neclassic.com/
just 3 or THOUSANDS of internet sites you can look up and read about concerning ACTUAL judging criteria, not just bro-opinions.......
