Shout out to my state! (WI)

    Not srs, da fuk???

    http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com...12/04/09/37781

Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker just moved to prevent same-sex couples from accessing their legal hospital visitation rights, despite both Wisconsin state law and an Obama HHS mandate. Going forward, same-sex couples will not be able to be recognized as next of kin — unless they have previously taken drastic legal measures, and unless those are accepting at the hospital — during emergency room visits, or even during routine hospital procedures in Wisconsin.

Yes, it's the same for any unmarried couple. That's why I think they should let them get married. It gives them the opportunity to have these rights as well.

The marraige issue aside, they do have these rights. They just have to take the proper legal action, just like anyone else. You cant just show up at your girlfriends hospital room and expect to be let in.

Good job on your false alarm thread OP.

Just like them nigras could vote back in the 1850's, they just had to have a grandfather who voted, pass a rigged test, and pay a poll tax.

Except this is the same for everyone, according to what I have seen. You have to take legal action to name a next of kin.

It's not exactly the same though. The gay couple can't just get married to have these rights, they have to jump through hoops. That's not right IMO. It should be just as easy for them as it was for my wife and I.

Not if that legal action simply means go to the court house and fill out the proper next of kin papers.

It hurts his republican street cred. It also gets in his way of his AM talk radio and fox news devotion.
I think the one point we can all agree on is that even if evolution isn't correct, semitope is still wrong.

Hay guise we gots ourselves some new founding fathers, and they will save us from our evil guberment by begging for money on the internet all the while never facing any real threat to their person by the giant, evil, and ruthless government that had zero problem killing around 5k citizens!

You and rogue are the same way. Skirt around questions asked. I take it you don't even know the process, or you wouldn't of asked. I'm pretty sure it's more than filing papers fo next of kin. Grow the **** up and answer the question. What does it hurt to let them get married?

No I don't know, because I don't need to know. I do know it's harder for them to go through extra steps instead of just letting them get married. Next of kin only really gives you certain rights, it's still not the same as spousal rights, for being there under certain circumstances in the hospital with their significant other.

Yes I'm sure you are, as sure as I am the moon is purple.

The article now has this at the top..

Editor’s note: The Forbes story that tipped us off is from last year — we neglected to read the fine print. Last year, Scott Walker tried to kill same-sex couples’ hospital visitation rights, but his attempts were defeated. We apologize for the error, and have amended the content below to reflect our error.

And according to the article, all they have to do is sign up for hospital visitation rights for domestic partnership registries with county clerks. No extra hoops to jump through, so you're wrong.

Cool, so it not hard, I still think they should allow same sex marriage. I never got my panties in a wad, simply stated I agree with you, but it's not exactly the same as just letting them get married, which it still isn't.

Yep, let your tolerance an pro gay marriage stance shine right through by calling someone a phaggot, superb.

I won't imply it. I will state it. You are a bigot. Everyone who uses that word in the fashion you do here and elsewhere is a bigot, whether you wish to admit it or not.

As you are a devotee or Mr. Limbaugh, he was once fond of saying "Words mean things." Using that word shows where your heart and mind are, just as much as if you used N***** to describe those of African descent or sp** or wet**** to describe those of Latino descent. The words you use mean things about you. I have not ever seen you use the slurs I mention in describing others. Yet, you feel perfectly free in using a slur for homosexuals. Your free use of it, despite changing the spelling to get it past the filter, shows where you are. Because it is popular to use right now makes it no less a slur, anymore than the use of n***** in the south in the 1950's was popular. It was still a slur, then as now.

Want to prove differently? Don't use the term.

And, if you are thinking don't be so sensitive and the slurs that people like you like to post here related to homosexuals -- use racial slurs and then tell those you are slurring to not be sensitive. Words mean things, Sir. The words you use reflect your beliefs. Remember that next time you use that slur.
"You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They'll race behind you. They will stumble; they will fall. But, in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders." Jor-El
