No hate, but I'm definitely confused by this.
I personally think it's more in-line with nature's laws for a man to marry multiple women (or vice versa) than it is for a dude to marry a dude.
So what the hell is going on?
Who else thinks that's kinda............irrational?

Do you find it odd that polygamy is illegal, but gay marriage is getting accepted?

Any marriage between consenting adults should be legal
two adult guys should be legal
one adult man and 2+ adult women should be legal
etc
Marriage with a child should stay illegal - children cannot consent
bestiality should stay illegal - animals cannot consent
necrophilia should stay illegal - the dead cannot consent

I think the scientific issues need to be considered in terms of birth defects. I don't know how common a birth defect is through incestuous reproduction, but if it is a significant percentage, then I think it should be illegal. If there was no added probability of a birth defect, then it should absolutely be legal as long as both parties are consenting adults.

Extremely controversial topic OP.
To one his own. I believe the term marriage should actually be stripped. It has such a profiling and biased message to it that it in itself can only cause problems. I believe in gay, monogomous, and polygamous partnership, but under the terms that it is legitimate in its emotions.
Edit: I am glad nitr0x2 is providing his input without biasedness and intelligent, supporting arguements. gjdm, an actual constructive miscer.National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT)

i think britney spears qualifies as having a "fukked up mental disorder". she got a legally recognized marriage like it was candy
for some reason i dont see a lot of people complaining about how it "forces everyone else to view their relationship as legitimate"

I care that they try to pawn off their shallow perverted relationship as equal to the bond between a man and a woman.
Do some research you typical left-wing emotional ass pussy. Homosexual relationships last only three years on average and are rarely monogamous.
You may consider yourself equal to a couple of butt plugging homos, but myself and the majority of people in this country do not and cannot be forced to.Last edited by Doubletree; 02-10-2010 at 11:24 PM.

Just playing devil's advocate here.
What you're saying is that people shouldn't be allowed to have children if there is a chance that the child can grow up with something like a birth defect (reduced intelligence/smaller/weaker etc)
Then what about now allowing stupid people/fat people etc to have children? Certainly don't want to pass those traits onto children either.
It's a slippery slope.
The government has decided what they think is best for us basically. Except what is best for us usually (always) seems to change into what is best for them.I rep back...

Meh I am not surprised. It's more of a cultural thing. Other cultures don't have polygamy as taboo while some other culture don't worry about homosexuality. Geographical location FTW!
