Curious as to how much protein the body can absorb at a time? (1 meal)

Hey guys I was curious as to how much protein the body can absorb at once. I have heard 30, 40, 50, to it doesn't matter how many grams. I know not all of these can be correct, what do you guys think/know. I personally try to hit at least 40g whenever I have a meal.
    PRs:
    Bench 245 x 2
    Squat 255 x 8
    Deadlift 405 x 1 (345 x 5)

I've heard 30-40g but theres no golden rule like after x amount of protein the body will just get rid of the rest.

I usually go for about 30 sometimes a little less sometimes a little more because i'm trying to hit about 180g protein per day with 6 meals.

I have been reading approx 50-55 max but like anything with fitness it all depends on the person. I don't think if you go over that amount every so often will hurt unless you do it on a regular basis.

Lol, like I said theres no set rate, your body will simply get rid of excess protein as a waste. The downside to too much protein is it'll stress your kidneys and digestive system more...

Nothing goes to waste. Just take a look at the Intermittent Fasting crew; they get all their nutrients in in an 8 hour time window - and Martin Berkhan is not really a small fellow at 90 kg, 5% bf, without roids.

No, it won't. There won't be any "excess"; the digestive system does a terrific job of not wasting any protein. That's the whole point. You don't have to worry about wasting protein if you eat a lot in one meal; it will all be digested eventually and very little will end up in the toilet whether you eat small meals or big meals.

Your digestive system won't be stressed. Your kidneys won't be stressed even if you're eating pro-bodybuilder amounts as long as you're healthy.
