Started re-watching the series from the beginning.

I know what's going to happen but i've still managed to watch the first two seasons in 4 days.

Honestly some of the stuff they came up with was simply genius, but it becomes less impressive once you realize they were making it up as they went and didn't actually have answers. Anyone can pose crazy questions and situations if they aren't required to come up with a reasonable explanation for it.

For example: The psychic that told Claire she had to raise the baby herself. He tricked her into getting on Oceanic Flight 815 so she would crash on the island and be forced to raise the baby herself. But in a later episode featuring Mr. Eko, we find out that the psychic is a fraud and doesn't actually know what he's doing at all. So... what's the explanation for that?

I'm a little rusty as I haven't rewatched the series in a long time (Kind of hoping and waiting for it to come back on Syndicated TV) But I was under the impression/assumption that the psychic that sent Claire was just a manipulation of Jacob/the Island.

Yeah my wife gave birth to our first child last week, and when I'm on baby duty I end up watching a lot of TV when there isn't anything worth watching on...

Really thinking about going out and just renting the DVD's and watching them start to finish.

I mean really... What are the chances my daughter grows up believing in Smoke Monsters?

I re watch the entire show. Definitely understand it much better than the first time around. The show really is epic...it reaches a whole new level in connecting with the audience. The final 10 minutes of the show really had me.


One thing I don't understand. The people on the island that the losties usually saw were already dead, or it was MIBs new form. But then what was Walt when Shannon, Sayid and Locke saw him in the jungle? He was never dead...

Just finished the series in a month (after MH370 went missing I started watching it). Felt like it coulda ended at season 3. 4/5/6 felt like addons. Epic show overall, was looking forward to seeing Elizabeth Mitchell since she's on my favorite show Revolution.

The whole thing was an "afterlife". The opening scene of Jack coming out of the bamboo field never happened. He never opened his eyes and got up and went to the beach, they all died. Hence them showing him dying in the bamboo field with Vincent by his side.

Jack had to "let go" and die. He created this "dream" with everybody he saw on the plane. But in reality, everyone died when the plane crashed.

Some people are such idiots. ALL THE ISLAND STUFF WAS REAL, I REPEAT..ALL THE ISLAND STUFF WAS REAL. THE ALTERNATIVE REALITY SHOWED WHERE EVERYONE CAME WHEN THEY DIED..EVENTUALLY. WHETHER THEY DIED IN THE BEGINNING, DURING ISLAND LIFE..OR AFTER EVERYTHING.

I think the plane that left the island never got anywhere, the plane with Kate...Because then how did they not come back for the Ben and Hurley. If you have a problem with that theory, the plane that left would have to go on exact bearing to get out of the island. I just think that plane never made it anywhere.

Why was the ending scene jack closing his eye ?...because it's the damn final episode, and that is called artistic creativity.

Why was the subittle endings nothing but wreckage on the beach ?..because nothing was left.

Why did the plane fly over jacks head in the end ?..BECAUSE REAL PEOPLE WERE ACTUALLY LEAVING THE ISLAND, AND THEY WOULD DIE LATER ON IN LIFE.

I reeeeeeeally don't want to sound rude but you just simply didn't understand it. Everything was answered perfectly. The "alt" time line was the afterlife. Everything on the island was real, and everyone died in their separate ways. "Some died before you, some died long after..." They were all reunited in the afterlife at the end, because of the bonding and love they all shared with one another. Jack died in the jungle with Vincent, while Kate, Claire, Sawyer etc got off the island on the fixed Ajira flight and lived out their lives until they too eventually died. Remember Kate saying to Jack "I've missed you so much" ? She's presumably lived far longer than he has off the island, but was finally joined together with him in the end because they loved each other. Just like everyone else in the church scene in the end loved each other. The Losties didn't have any purpose in life before they were brought to the island. While they were there, they fell in love, sacrificed themselves...their life had purpose.

I just finished my 3rd watch about a month ago. Still so fuking good and Im never someone who really watches shows more than once
