    it probably doesn't matter too much, but personally I like timing most of my carbs pre and post workout.

    there is absolutely no point at all to doing that. if for some reason it makes you feel physically better to do so, do it. but there's nothing magical about carbs that make you gain weight.

    Yesterday I ate 12 girl scout cookies, 3 of which were right before bed. Even eating sugar right before bed doesn't matter if your cals are low enough.

    The carbs = makes you fat thing is a myth.

    I'm in. Been doing a 500 cal deficit for 4 weeks now & had a 5Lbs loss up till last week when I gained 3Lbs this last week for some reason or another...

    for me I actually do feel a lot better this way. if i'm going all bulkin bulldog, I love carbs all day, but when I'm on a deficit I feel a lot better with just carbs around my workout.

    I'm in, been cutting for a couple of weeks already.

    I was gonna start on April 1st and cut through summer rather than for summer because I still realy need to bulk up alot but due to a knee injury I can't train legs so I'm gonna cut now and bulk later.

    Started off at 172lbs and I estimate my BF to be around 22% but I was down to 168lbs by last week and now my scales have broken


    Here's a question for anyone who has cut down from around my BF level before; My fat seems to be quite evenly spread around my body (i.e I dont have a fat stomach that sticks out I just have fat on my stomach thats not much deeper than the fat on my ass/legs etc) but I always pictured my pecs being underneath the fat on my chest (my man tits) but now it's starting to look more like they're way higher up (my nipples for examle seem to sit well below the end of my pecs and to the outside of them as well) so what I'm trying to ask is as the fat on my chest goes away will my nipples move upwards and re-locate over my pecs?

    I've just read that question back to myself and it looks stupid but I'm sure there's someone out there who gets what I mean lol.

    I'll try to get a decent picture of myself to put on here when I can, that way I'll have somthing to look back on and laugh at in the future.

    Water weight. You probably had a cheat day or a refeed in there, right? No problem.

    That's why I weigh myself every day, just to avoid the once a week randomness.

    op what are your thoughts on ec stack for cutters?
    not crucial obviously, but it could definitely aid some people if they were pleateauing or felt they needed a bit extra energy/push.
    there's a really good thread and site (http://www.hotnfit.com/ecstack.htm) about it, and by no means can a miscer just take it and think they'll lose weight, but it couldn't hurt if done properly.

    Yea he looks shredded, no doubt.

    The only thing I dont like about cutting is the loss of strength. I used this method to go from 170-160 as an experiment a couple months ago when wavelength made his thread about cutting. I did start seeing solid results and abs started coming through but my strength losses in the gym left me feeling insecure about cutting, serious. Not being able to rep 135 x 8 x 3 on bench really took away the motivation (weak bench yea, i know).

    I support you guys and wish you the best. The guys out there with the mass underneath the fat will be studs by summer. But as for me, gotta keep recomping.

    nope. if you want to gain and cut at the same time, there's a lot more to it than that.

    carbs aren't just energy -- all 3 of the macronutrients are energy. fat has more than twice the energy that carbs do per gram - fats have 9 cals and carbs have 9 cals. the "calorie" is a unit of energy.

    in otherwords, you have been broscienced. glad i could clear it up for you

    never done it. it basically has the effect of raising your maintenance level. if you want to use it, you can eat a bit more. but i don't recommend it for the absolute beginner or anyone looking for the simplest possible cut, nor is it necessary.
