I'd have to say not counting calories might be a mistake. Clean foods make you fat as it's all about cals in = cals out.

that's what happens to your metabolism when you've been dieting for a longass time. I was at 1600 cals/day with cardio and losing 1 lb a week. That's one of the reasons I took this diet break.

Checking in at 155 lbs. I currently eat 1600 cals and do 300 cals worth LISS on top of lifting weights 4-5x a week. Strength still feels good, my body mustve gotten used to low cals or something because I no longer feel ridiculously starved all the time. I'll post an updated pic from 157 later this weekend, better angle, etc. maybe you guys can guess where I'm at, still kinda got a lil handful on the stomach.

    Update

Day 4 of my 2 week diet break. Water is fluctuating like crazy. At first my weight had jumped all the way up to 169 lbs (from 161). Looked like my muscles had filled out though. Then I went down to 165. Then this morning I was up to 168 again after going out to eat for my brother's graduation party yesterday, looked bloated instead of filled out. I think I'm going to eat 2300 instead of 2500 for the next few days.

One thing I have learned is that the way I look in the mirror has nothing to do with the scale anymore. The first day I looked the leanest yet at 169. Then I looked slightly less lean at 165, and now I look even leaner at 168. The BF% scale has been jumping around from 14% to 17% depending on the day.

All I'm going to say is that I'm glad I learned about how the math works wrt to calories. I used to freak out about sh*t like this, but I've seen it happen so many times it doesn't even phase me anymore. But to anyone who tries the 2 week break, know that sh*t like this happens though. Hopefully it will taper off in the next few days.

A few of my favorite cutting foods/drinks in no particular order:

    - MGN whey (101 cals/100g, 25g protein). Hands down the best whey I have ever bought, its a shame that it costs a lot to ship it to Europe and that apparently its quality went to sh!t recently.
    - Cottage cheese (89 cals/100g, ~11g protein)
    - Tuna (99 cals/100g, ~23g protein)
    - Cod (80 cals/100g, 19g protein)
    - Spinach (12 cals/100g) -> this is pretty much a staple for dinner
    - Frozen mized vegetables (varies from 25 - 40 cals/100g) -> mix with spinach and it tastes great
    - Zuurkool (saurkraut) (5.5 cals/100g) -> really filling, although I can't each too much cause it hurts my teeth
    - Coke zero
    - Turkey (110 cals/100g, 25g protein)
    - Tomatoes (11 cal/100g)
    - Carrots (11 cals/100g) -> I eat this pretty much every day when I want a snack
    - Lentils (270 cals/100g uncooked, ~21g protein) -> A good replacement for potatoes/pasta/rice, etc. (fewer cals and a lot of protein). It gains a lot of size once cooked (like rice)
    - Raisins (272 cals/100g) -> I eat this pretty much every day as desert, if I eat slowly 100g can last for 45min
    - Apples (Granny Smith) (45 cals/100g) -> tasty and very filling, 300-400g fills me up

I also bought some low fat mayo (11 cals per table spoon) and low fat strawberry yoghurt (35 cals/100g) (for mixing with cottage cheese = jizz in my pants).

My strength isn't decreasing at all...I've been on this for a week and just yesterday I hit a PR that I did when I was 255. Overhead DB hold with 100lb DB for 1:30...I did that yesterday with both arms. LULZ

And I work about 3 nights per week, that involves walking, light lifting, etc.

I workout 5X per week. You can see my log for what I'm doing.

Maybe I have better genetics and my body utilizes calories more efficiently than you guys, who knows?

good to see you in this thread. i'll check your log out.

there was also a guy who weighed 170 in here that was losing 3-4 lbs per week at 1800 cals and got down to 155 in like a month. Meanwhile, when I was 186, I was losing 1 lb per week at 2000 cals. I think there is just some genetic difference in BMR among people.
