    Well I made up for last week where I gained 6lbs in a week by getting back down to 193.5 (-4.5lbs). Guess it was mostly water gain since I wasn't able to do my usual intake.

    Well guys as much as i want to continue cutting since its summer its time for me to pack on some muscle and lean bulk!

    I think for some people it is around them all the time. Strict dieting takes a lot of mental focus and energy to maintain that focus. There are times when you just want a damn slice of pizza.

    it is hard think of it like this.

    ur hungy as ****. you look in the frige and all you see is "ice cream cakes, soda, etc" and the only meat in the fridge is a ****ing whole chicken that needs to be cleaned, skinned, seasoned, and cooked. mean while you look on the table and bam. more cookies, a cake from a bday yesterday. i live with my rents so i cant control what they buy. being in control of what you have around you works so well when cutting. its like trying to stay straight edge when all ur friends sell drugs and smoke.

    But it's still not that hard IMO.. My parents leave banoffee pie on the table, chocolate gataeu (sp?) chocolate eclairs.

    I suppose everyones different, but I find it pretty darn easy to resist..

    I would like to know this as well, but I think that is why its important to continue lifting, eating your protein, etc... naturally you will lose a little bit because you are losing weight...but I think if you "stopped' lifting and just focused on losing fat..you would definitely see more muscle loss.

    I think like lots of people say...if your progress is being hindered (i.e; not lifting as much or feeling tired all the time) then you are cutting TOO much and need more calories for energy.

    You're going to feel tired. If you're on a defecit it's normal as you are having to use your bodys resources for fuel.

    Muscle loss however. I think it's much more safe than people think. Aslong as you keep protein high and lift heavy and hard, I don't think it's a huge worry.

    I kind of got ripped apart in the misc yesterday for posting a picture and asking if going lean FIRST for summer, then lean bulk to get bigger was a good game plan...and most of the responses was "eat a ton, lift heavy"..then again I expected that answer.

    but since this is a cut thread, wanted to get some additional input.

    Does anyone seen an issue with me trying to go lean first and get my bf% in a place I like (even if I am a pole after doing it) and then bulking on top of that. It seems I will have a better chance of maintaining a low bf% if I do that first, versus bulking now and cutting later, especially if abs are a goal for summer.

    There is a picture of zach efron on tmz.com that IMO would be a great body/build for me to end up with. Some might claim to small, but I'd be happy with a hybrid of that and ryan reynolds.

    Honestly this is what I would do, If you arn't satisfied with your bodyfat now and have nothing to lose on a cut go ahead and lose the fat.

    I've gained very little fat during my year bulk but kept what I had before I started lifting.

    Just start lifting now but also be on a calorie deficit. I wish I had done this a year ago

    yea, that is exactly what I was going to do...I have started doing bench press, curls, but I plan on hitting the weights heavier this week.

    speaking of food temptations. my work is bringing in free pizza today....so just like some of you were talking about choices...you are faced with something free and delicious, but something you have to restrict. So I am heading to subway today and forking out $5, but its better then crappy pizza.

    About 6 months ago, I was dieting as I've always been fat. I asked misc and ALL said to eat everything and lift heavy. I did and sure I put on muscle but I got fat as f*ck.

    Short answer: Dont listen to misc, do what YOU want. I personally am doing the same as you. Getting 10% ish BF then clean perma bulking slowly so I gain NO fat.

    yea, prob not good if the goal is a deficit cuz by 1pm I would be at 1000 calories for the day already ha.

    I got the oven roasted chicken breast on wheat, much better choice.

    good for you man. Yea, I am already 2 weeks into my gameplan, so I don't really want to mix it up and change.

    I started My keto diet on May 25th and so far, according to the scale, I've lost 20lbs. I just don't see it though. Keto diet is made for me being that I'm an endomorph. So far this diet seems to work better for my body. I've tried plenty of other diets, including just cutting 500 cals.

    about 150-250 cals over maintenance and you should be able to keep bf relatively the same. even if it goes up a bit, you will be gaining LBM, so visually the effect wont be that drastic. light impact cardio 3x a week 10-15 min could also help but overkill isnt necessary
