While not in this thread, I have seen a post by BodySpaceAdmin who said they are aware of the issue and are working on it. No ETA on resolution was available... If you use IE7, you follow some of the steps I outlined on page 2 of this thread to prevent the new skin from being forced down...Originally Posted by gbg

In the right-click menu there should be an entry called "RIP Advanced." Go into that and click "Remove from this website." Hope that solves the problem.Originally Posted by GREENFEATHER

I have a 26 inch monitor and this skin really makes my eyes hurt, so I've been away from these forums since this new skin was dropped down on us and forced to be the default. I simply can't spend any significant amount of time posting somewhere that causes eyestrain for me.
I do hope they either a) fix this problem, or b) use a less harsh skin in the future, so that I can come back to the forums.--- Nick ---

It looks like we are forcing the cookie to set the style to the new one. I need to talk to a few people and find out if this is intentional. I believe it was set this way when the new theme was released because they wanted to make sure everyone saw the new theme. I had just sort of accepted the new skin over these past weeks. But now that it's back to V3, I appreciate how much of a difference the light-blue/dark-blue V3 skin makes. So much easier on the eyes! Thanks for the fix... finally!
