My log is so sad.
Crossfit Friday:
Split Jerk:
Worked up to 145, failed a few at 155.
Hit myself in the chin with the bar while warming up, it hurts.
1 mile team run, girls had a 60# bag, guys had a 100# bag.
Less than 10 minutes, not terrible.

I've got the Crossfit Games Affiliate Cup in July. After that, my next powerlifting competition will be the Olympia in September. I normally lift raw, but this will be my first competition in gear, so my training is about to change a lot!

Is this the first time you are lifting with a suit? Don't remember you ever doing anything in equipment, I thought you were raw only. Are you planning to do an equipped meet?
But in any case ... Muhahahaha ... Welcome to the Dark Side, hehe.
But really Nice lifts, with your raw strength where it is you should get well into the 400's with the suit.Good Luck!

Yeah, that was my first attempt at a squat suit. I was pretty pleased, actually. 335 flew up easy both times, and 365 still didn't feel heavy on my back, which is what I was really worried about. I think I could come pretty close to 400 by the time the Olympia gets here, we'll see!

100 Burpee Pull Ups
75 Thrusters
100 Double unders each
4 laps around the parking lot with 65# Barbells in each hand
I ended up doing almost half the deadlifts, but I planned for that. The farmer's carry was ridiculous, because Lee put the bumper plates out at the ends of the bars so the bars would get scuffed up when you bailed. That made it about 50x harder to balance, as if farmer's carries with barbells aren't hard enough already...314/231/352/881@123

At least you guys weren't actually THERE...and sadly, I've probably seen much worse.
I've been training at a PL gym for about a year and a half now, Wild Iron Gym in Santa Clara, CA. Before that, I trained alone mostly, sometimes had good training partners.
Why wait so long to do a meet? I'd always recommend people do one sooner than later. The things you'll learn and the people you'll meet there are more beneficial than you'll ever know!

Oh you're in socal like me! Yeah where I live I would have to travel to LA to find a powerlifting gym. I want to wait because my lifts are nowhere near competitive. It probably won't be as long as 3 years, but my right now I'm focusing on increasing my lifts. Hopefully I can find a trainer or a PL gym that can help me get my strength up and increase my lifts. I would definitely rather do it sooner than later but I wanna be somewhat "ready" when I go

Yeah, Link likes to desecrate my log occasionally. I'm doing the USPF meet at the Olympia, it's an invitational, 15 men, 15 women. I lifted in the USPF quite a bit last year because it's pretty big out here, but there's no raw division. But, I was up for something new, so we're going to try gear for this one!
There's a few powerlifting gyms in LA, not sure where you are or how close you are, though. And don't worry, you're already "ready". Watch some meet videos, have someone give you commands and video you so you know if your lifts are legal, and get in there! There are USPF meets down there pretty frequently. The longer you wait, the more great stuff you're missing out on!
