5 RM - BB Row and Bench

Today I calculated my 5 rep max for bb row and bench. I am happy to say I underestimated my 5 RM on both. I have not done bench in a long time and I only did rows on GVT, so I had no real guess. Bench was up from the last time I did it, which made me very happy. Off season eating FTW!!!!!

    Bench - 105 lb 5 RM

    Row - 94 lb 5 RM

Clearly I will be rounding my row numbers. lol.

That is great....I'm kinda nervous about the numbers I'm gonna hit on these tonight. Have not flat benched anything heavy in over a year.

I haven't done bb bench in forever. During the end of prep I switched to DBs because they were easier on my elbow. I am definitely happy to say that the test set I did for the 5 RM was above what I was doing then. Be careful, please. I don't want to lose my TP before we really get started.

I'll be ok....I have been flat benching...just after heavy incline DB's...so the weight will be quite different I assume. I plan on staying healthy this year...I have nothing aggrivating me except minor back stuff but that is from long ago and I receive treatment for it and it is as strong as ever.

Well, bb row I really had no idea. I was doing 65 for 10x10, but I realized I wasn't low enough. I thought I'd end up around 65 on those if I went all the way down so my back was parallel to the ground.

For bench, I was doing 4-5 reps at 95 way back when. And I was stuck there for months. So, I figured since I hadn't done them in a while, I'd end up around there, if not lower. I picked 95 as my test set on these and got out 8 reps. With no spotter. I probably could have gone another, but I was afraid of getting stuck. I was in the gym in my building and was alone.
