Another brutal workout
Horizontal Push/Pull, Abs:
Flat Bench Press- (5x5)
w.m up- 40x8
90x5 (+ 2lbs)
90x5
90x4
90x3
88x3
Bent-Over Rows- (5x5)
90x5 (+5 lbs for all sets)
90x5
90x5
90x4 ½
90x3 ½
Incline Dumbbell Bench Press- (3x8)
35x7 (Goodness, these are HARD)
35x6 (+2 reps)
35x6 (+1 rep)
One-arm Dumbbell Rows- (3x8)
45x8 (+1/2 rep)
45x6 (+1 rep)
45x6 ½ (+1 ½ )
Push-ups using pull-up bar on floor (extra depth) - (3x10)
x10 (+1 rep)
x6 (lol! I let out the biggest death cry ever fighting for the 6th rep! So much so that someone called out from downstairs wondering if I was alright )
x5
Hammer-Grip D.B Rows- (3x10-12)
30x8 (+5lbs)
30x8
30x8
Wow. I had to fight sooooooo hard for every extra rep. Increasing weight on compound movements is much easier it seems than the little ones, like DB bench press. Those are soooooo HARD! This took 1 hour and 26 minutes. I burned 533 calories, and my max HR was 223. Now I am toast I am going to do abs later on this evening. I find I get more out of them then because I'm not as tired.

Oy! I plopped. I am TIRED. And hungry. My back is brutally sore already I am about ready to fall asleep. I dyed my hair after my workout, washed, then cooked supper which was the most amazing stir-fry (It had brussel sprouts, carrots, sweet potato, mini corns, cauliflower, snap peas, onions, chicken, garlic, and topped with some melted cottage cheese!) T'was tasty! Anyways, right after I cooked I went about cleaning the bedroom, doing laundry, stuff like that, and I just died. Plopped. Couldn't move anymore. I'm completely exhausted. Sooooooo sleepy and sore and hungry It's a nice feeling though. Nothing a little food and relaxing won't take care of Grow muscles, GROW! Thank goodness tomorrow's a rest day. Really looking forward to my quad workout on Wednesday!!

Oh, yum! Sweet potatoes and cottage cheese in stir fry? Wow, I would never have thunk lol
I hate the feeling of being completely wiped cause then I have no energy to finish the long list of things I usually have lol

Oy! Busy morning cramming in some school work before rushing off to town! I love being able to eat yummy, healthy things! I just had the biggest veggie-fest ever! And finished it off with an apple, and a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese! Lunch was sweet potato, albacore tuna and cottage cheese. I was too full to eat my veggies. And I had a lovely bowl of cinnamon mini wheats with almond milk, vanilla protein powder, banana and blueberries for breakky! Supper will be another stir-fry methinks. A nice repeat of last nights. Oh, the deliciousness! I was going to have an egg/chicken/veggie omellete with cheese and salsa, but I need to get mass quantities of veggies in me. There's sick people everywhere!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! Must....avoid......plague.......
Quad day tomorrow! I am sooooooooooooooo excited! I am seeing such awesome changes in my legs, they look so shapely! I can see muscles through my jeans! I can put my hand around my hamstring when I'm lying down and bend my leg towards my head. It just sticks right out! Awesome! They're growing! I'm getting soooo much harder and the scale is not moving! What an interesting turn of eventsTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Yup, I sure am! Actually, I'm a bit of an underestimater at times I forget to add up a bite of cake here, or a piece of cracker there. The amount calculated usually ends up around 1950, not including random nibbles and tea. I like to enjoy at least a little bit of freedom So It may be a little more than that somedays. But in the very low 2000's, most definitely. And seeing nothing but positive results! I am sooooo surprised! And elated. Woop!

Oy. Eating real food and not protein powder is a lot harder than I thought it would be Lately I replaced a few meals that I normally have protein powder with, and I am stuffed. I had to resort back to protein powder in order to get lunch into me before my workout Well, at least I'm not hungry

Today’s workout was sweet! I worked sooooo hard! Everything felt great! I think my back gets a twinge in it when my form fails. I noticed whenever I concentrate on bracing my back there’s no pain, but the minute I slip up due to fatigue- that’s when it feels bad. Weak back, it seems And I don’t know WHAT I was thinking when I decided to do SLDL on this day. By the time I was done with squats my back was finished. It failed before my legs did. It is soooooooo tired now. Next time, I’m switching them out for lying leg curls. I forgot about those And due to being unable to increase C.G bench press much, I’m going to switch those out with dips next time.
Quad Dominant- Hamstring Accessory, Triceps
Box Squats- (5x5 These were awesome. Extremely challenging, and pain free today!)
70x8
125x5 (+10 lbs)
125x5
125x5
125x5
125x5 (whoo! Didn’t think I was going to get all of these. I was fighting so hard for every. Single. rep.)
Barbell Alternating Reverse Lunges- (3x8- Was really surprised with these! I had soooo much control! It was sweet!)
65x10
75x10
85x8 (Was unsure of how much weight to use....Will be using more weight next time)
C.G Bench Press- (5x5)
40x8
75x5
75x5
75x4 ½ (- ½ rep- had to slightly change grip- screwed me up)
75x5 (+ ½ rep- I struggled for about 5 seconds trying to get this last rep- but I got it! Take that you little bugger)
75x4 (+1 rep)
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts- (3-4x12-20- Oh, the brutallity! These were tough on my wee little back )
75x 16
105x17
105x17 (+1 rep)
105x16 (+1 rep)
105x12 (died)
Lying Tricep Extensions- (3x8-12)
45x12 (+5 lbs)
45x10
45x6
I didn’t do calves after. The calf press exercise hurts my hips and legs real bad, don’t know why. But I was sooooo toast at that point, I didn’t even care. This took 1 hour and 29 minutes, and I burned 610 calories. I am going to go die now.Last edited by gobbles23; 09-30-2010 at 04:02 AM.

Oh dear, I think I might be coming down with something. My appetite is just GONE! Couldn't finish my supper, yet again! All that lovely sweet potato..........In the garbage Not in my muscles where it needs to be. Ah phooey. I've been taking echinacea and vitamin C like crazy. I can't get sick, not now, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Will double the protein powder dosage later to get the cals in. The body needs fuel to recover my poor destroyed muscles and to keep me healthy. Must.....Get.....Cals......In.......Off to vegg out for the night.....Play some of our new super-awesome racing game....

Well, I got my calories in yesterday! All ~2080 or something like that Oh, the ease of calorie eating. Well, easier if you do what I do and eat chocolate And I stepped on the scale today to see an even 120lbs looking at me Woot! Feeling great this morning, full of energy and sore as crap! Today is going to be quite the day.......
Remember that speech I had to write? I wrote it about you guys and how I finally am starting to reach my goals with all of your help. I talked about how I was 98lbs and wondering why I didn't have any definition. And how I found this site and all of you wonderful people who sent me in the right direction. Anyways, today's the day I have to read it
I have to record a video of myself, reading the speech, and then upload it and send it to my instructor. Easier said than done Believe it or not, it is still nerve wrecking. Even though I can do it over and over again if I screw up, that somehow makes it worse because then you make about 15 videos trying to get it perfect, and the pressure is on to not screw up near the end when you've had a near flawless run. Arg! So, that's my fun filled day! Vertical push/pull tomorrowTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Oy. Speeches are done! Sweet. And there was a little change in plans. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow (to see the results of my bloodwork.....Which I am now thinking all of my problems fall back to my diet..) so that is at 1:00pm. And we have piles of studying to do. We were at our speeches all morning, so we are going to do our workout today instead, study after the workout, and then study in the morning tomorrow and go to town in the afternoon. So, vertical push/pull soon! Be back!

Awe, well that's good that you could find this site and help you meet your goals. I couldn't agree with you more. I've gotten ALOT of good information and support I hate speeches. I always freeze up and my hands shake so badly I can't read the paper haha
Hope you aren't coming down with something! Whenever I need more cals (which I almost NEVER) I eat peanut butter. Yummmm
Awesome looking workout from yesterday and I find calves and hanging leg raises irritate my hip the most too. It's weird, though. Since I started stretching (like in the pics) sooo much better!Bodybuilding is not weight and repetitions; it’s resistance and absolute muscle failure. It’s not quantitative; it’s qualitative. Woo. Today was busy! Studying all morning, then I went to the doctor, then we went shopping, then we got home and did a workout, and then I cooked supper, and now I am finally sitting down
My bloodwork came back perfect! He was actually impressed with my hemoglobin levels. He said girls my age usually have low hemoglobin. I think the reason I was so tired before is because I couldn't breathe right and it probably impacted the quality of sleep I was getting. I feel great since I started my nasal spray! Yay!
And I told him about the stomach problems I have been having. Now I have to get blood work done again to see if there's bacterial in my belly. He told me to eat probiotic yogurt everyday, and gave me a perscription for more Zantac to take twice a day. I have to go back in three weeks.
And now for my fabulous workout! In a few seconds.......wait for it......Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

This workout was pretty decent considering it was later in the day and I was slightly dehydrated. I was in too much of a hurry to get a thermos ready before I left, and I refuse to drink bottled water. So I had two 15 calories juices that were sweetened with stevia, but it’s not the same as water. Anyways, I’m happy I got through it. We are going out tomorrow night so I had to get this workout in so I could do Hammies tomorrow. I’ll probably be too tired on Sunday to do anything Ack. I have to go relax. Then get up and study some more tomorrow and prepare myself for another greuling workout. I’m thinking about having a higher cal day today just so I can beat more records Goodness, it’s soooooo hard to get stronger like this. A solid 2000 calories a day from now on. Yesteday was 1800 but I had a really bad bloaty tummy going on. I felt stuffed :/Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stephen's mom made her own yogurt before! All you have to do is keep a little bit of the plain stuff with probiotics in it, and way to go!!!! I forgot about that! I spent soooooo much money on two containers of it today So expensive :/
