    $50.00 to spend

    37
    230lbs
    6'0"
    Married with 3 children

Work as a LEO and the wife is a stay at home mom

I have $50.00 to spend a month on supps -minus whey protein.

My goal is to drop down to 215lbs while adding some muscle tone and dropping some bodyfat.

If all I have is $50 a month to spend, what would you spend it on as far a supps go?
Now forgive my sin once more and pray to the LORD your God to take this deadly plague away from me.”

I am using BSN whey now and I already take a multi

    I also take:
    B-12
    Calcium Citrate
    Iron
    Vitamin C

I was looking at Creatine and possible a energy product. When I have a kick in the pants i do better in the gym.

The whey and a multi are great basics . . . creatine is a good choice, or you could throw in a BCAA drink during workouts (like Xtend or Purple Wraath) and/or an NO product pre-workout (SuperPump 250, Shock Therapy, White Flood, etc) if you are looking to try something different in your repertoire.

Just curious . . . is the Calcium Citrate for kidney stones?

A Meal Replacement Shake. They come in Packets, tubs and Ready-to-drink.

As for the kick when headed to the Gym, use cold Coffee. Brew some up, let it cool, then pour it in a water bottle. A few nice healthy chugs before I head out always gives a boost.

The only supplement I take is xtend. I'm hooked on it! My workouts seem to go better with it and my recovery is over night. No matter how bad I kick my own ass, or my PT does it for me one night a week, I feel great the next morning.

I do take Glutemine as well but that's Doctor's orders.

My doc has a gazzillion articles stating glutemine is great. Personally I'm recovering from chemo and my body doesn't absorb nutrients well. My bloodwork, energy levels, and mental state have all improved since I started the glutemine.

The few times I quit taking it he looked at my labs and asked "Have you stopped the glutemine?" He's all about diet, exercise, overall nutrition instead of throwing meds at symptoms.

Get the enteric coated stuff at Costco or Sams. More expensive, but I don't burp it. (That's the point of the coating). Worth it.

2 tips when taking fish oil. First, freeze it...will reduce the burps. Second, always take it with food...again, reduces the burps. Oh, and if you cut one of the frozen fish oils open, and the inside is frozen, you got crappy fish oil. Even with the capsule frozen, it should still ooze or run out.

I have $50.00 to spend a month on supps -minus whey protein.

My goal is to drop down to 215lbs while adding some muscle tone and dropping some bodyfat.

If all I have is $50 a month to spend, what would you spend it on as far a supps go?

What your wife does don't matter, how many kids...i'm sure they're sweet, but it don't matter either.
You want to lose 15 lbs and have 50 bucks to spend?
    How's this for radical thinking:
    Eat less.
Your $50 will GROW to 100, maybe two.
Lift weights while eating less= "tone". There will be less fat hiding your muscle.
    To summarize:
You don't need to go shopping. You need to get to the gym and out of the kitchen cabinets.

Well being the fact that I lost 160lbs, weight loss is not an issue. My main goal is to gain some muscle and i will lose the fat. I only eat about 1800 calories a day on average and it always lean meats, cheese and complax carbs.

As far as the wife and kids go, i said that because i want to spend time with them and not neglect them. I just wanna get the most out of my workouts. no need to be harsh

No intention of being harsh, apologies if i came across that way..

Well, if you lost 160 lbs (awesome task) your next 15 should be no problem and should require no more supplementation than the prior weight loss.
As far as the muscle "tone", I repeat myself. You will see your muscle when more fat is gone.
    I guess my point is:
    Keep your $$$$.

You're better off using that extra money to spend a bit more meat from animals that are fed their natural diet and fruits/veggies that are grown using natural fertilizer. [I didn't want to use the term "organic" because it's a word that gets twisted and thrown around easily]

The only supplement I'd spend it on would be multivitamins and fish oil.
