One thing I am doing is taking a new pre-workout supp. The company is inviting applications for testers to blog for 6 weeks about using it. That really might fit into some of the goals you guys have here. It's helping me. In any event, I'd enjoy your input on my own blog--it's more than just about the supp.

Keep up your great posts. I'm enjoying them in the background.
Hope all is going well for you, OMS!

Good luck with your contest, Ruben! Are you still training on the Bowflex?

So that means eating isn't quite as good as usual and less gym time.

Hope everyone else is doing fantastically. OMS, good luck with your new pre-workout and your goals. Ruben, sounds like you are making forward progress, nice job.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Pack. It's good that you have a faith that keeps you strong.

Keep working hard, guys! I'm dieting as well, have lost about 15 pounds so far. My recent progress pics are in my diet log:

Weight has been right around 226 lately. I'm taking about five weeks off from my cut to do a couple of track and field competitions. I've changed my lifting accordingly. Heavy weight for singles and doubles, no much accessory lifting and lost of olympic stuff. We'll see if the old man's still got it. Still doing a little cardio everymorning to stay lean and help me recover from my workouts. Then in mid june the cut will be back on for summer fun. Should only have to drop around 6-10lbs. Hope everybody is doing well. see you later

Update for me here. Weight is the same. Though I have packed on some more muscle. Leaner is a few spots so the weight not changing isn't terrible. I'd like to be leaner by now, but with my grandpa passing and other issues I'm behind. My lifting partner is doing a show in July in the area and I've been training him. Basically lean bulking for right now. Then going to help him cut down for the show. He will probably only need 6 weeks. He stays pretty lean. So while he's cutting and I'm pushing him I will be pushing myself even harder as well. Can't wait to see those results for both of us.

Thanks for he well wish Iron. Hope everyone is doing well. For anyone still plugging away, awesome! You didn't give up no matter what. That's impressive.

eh can I be in? lol I've lost about 10 so far, and around 4" or soo off stomach. hoping to be down to 140 lbs not too long after july 4, and bf% down to 10 or less by the end of the year. only problem is when we have "dirty" foods- hard to resist!
I thank God for my success.

And I'm at 11% with 9% as a goal by July 1. The workouts are going well. It's passing up the late-night snack that is hard for me

Sounds good. Those late night snacks can definitely be a killer Doesn't it always seem that the training can go well but the eating can derail ever so easily. May you reach your goals with grace.

hey all! Back on my cut for a few weeks after my track competition, which went very well. Weight up from 226 to 230, but my strength is up too. Been getting after the cardio for a last few days, so I'm sure I'll be in the low 220's in no time. Hope everybody is still working hard. Excited to see some of your pictures. Good luck all!

Not sure if anyone remembers me or not. I been here since the start of January. Posted my weights every week keeping this thread updated. I have been crazy busy with life. Lots of good and bad things. Stress messed me up good on a few occasions.
Seems like since I left not much has been posted around here. Now I used to weigh myself every Sunday and I will continue to do so. That being said I got access to a scale for the first time since I stopped posting here in mid April. I thought I stayed around the same weight or maybe gained some since my last update. I weighed myself late in the day so its not fully accurate and I'm hoping by Sunday I have a scale again to weigh myself proper.

Last update here was in mid April I was 202.6. My last weigh in was 187.7.
Difference of 14.9 lbs in the past 3 months. Not what my goal was but considering the stress and little to no exercise that 3 months, I was surprised. Again number isn't official yet, but I had to post it here. I'm getting back into eating better and exercising too.

So, from my start at the beginning of January to now, which is about 6.5 months I went from 225.8 to 187.7. A loss of 38.1 lbs.

That sounds fantastic! I'm glad you came back to the thread and gave us the update. I still check the thread daily. I know most don't seem to come back that often but I think there are a few of us that still check back. I think people get quiet if they don't have a lot to update on. You did quite well. 38.1lbs is not bad at all. Quite good in my opinion. You get back to eating the way you should and you will do even better. That's always the hard part for me. I never eat terrible, but I get of course enough that is stalls me out Keep us updated if you will!

    Thanks all.

Its Sunday now and I got a scale so since its my official weigh in day since mid April, I was excited to step on it.

Now last time I weighed myself I was 202.6 and the start of all this in January I was 225.8.

Today I weigh 186 exactly. A loss of 16.6 since mid April and a loss of 39.8 since the start of January.

So close to the 40 lb loss mark. Not what I was hoping but I'm proud I got to 40 in 7 1/2 months.

    Been a long, long time

It's been many months since I lasted posted. Have been keeping an eye on what's been going on with you guys and some impressive results I have to admit.

As for myself it's been a difficult year so far, and not a lot of good to report. On a positive note I finally reached my initial goal of 205lb's, but realise there is so much more to do. Between work and injuries I've been my own worst enemy, yet realise there are no valid excuses, as they are just that.

Currently reasessing what I'm doing and where I'm heading with all of this, as the only excuse I allow myself is an old recurring back injury has reared it's ugly head and spent the last few months battling. Either way, more focus is in order...

Was 186 last time I posted. Not official till I weigh myself in the morning but yesterday I stepped on it and I was 176.something.
Big deal cause when I first started this in Jan my goal was to reach my high school weight of 175. 50 lb loss from when I started. Will see tomorrow how close I am. I'm not even close be being done yet. Numbers don't matter anymore now for the most part now I'm tryin to get more muscle and lose some of this last bit of fat.
Will post official weight tomorrow along with a couple update pics which I haven't done in months.

    Ok, done.

I weigh 177.2 today. Total loss of 48.6 lbs from when I started in January.

    Here are progress pics.

This is from Day 1 back in early January. 225.8 lbs

Will be working more on muscle now and hopefully getting rid of that last bit of belly fat.

The first thing I usually try to tell people about this is you have to try to change from the inside out. Which makes this journey so much harder. It starts out where you want to change the outside, but you have to change the inside to be successful at it. Why? Because we have to train ourselves to look at foods differently. Try to figure why we might binge eat or sabotage ourselves at times. Gotta have that strong will when so many around us are eating the garbage we are trying to stay away from. It is a tough tough road. I have done battle with myself in this war to stay healthy and fit. I'm winning, but it isn't easy. And the fight rages on.

Sorry if I was preaching a little there, I just wanted to say I know where you are coming from! I feel your frustration. You just haven't found your groove yet. Don't give up. Keep pushing against the obstacles and at some point you will get past them.

Very nice job. Doing great. That belly fat is the toughest. It seems to be the first to appear and the last to leave. At least it is for me and very frustrating. You'll get it.
