Popped my lower back doing deadlifts today. It wasn't painful, but I'm very stiff and a small but sharp pain hits me from some sudden moves. It reminds me of when I got a stiff neck from sitting in a draft some ten years ago.
This probably ends my deadlifting since it's the second time this year that my lower back gets messed up. I can't seem to do them even if I keep good form.

I was told by the Head Neurologist at the VA Hospital I would eventually get to where I couldn't walk. My L5, L4, and S1 are so bad surgery is not an option because they ruined and scar tissue is bad.
I REFUSe to give up now off my soapbox. I wonder if any of you might have an idea as to what exercise my help strengthen my low back? I tried good mornings and they brought pain so I stopped immediately. I use to religiously train but I quit and layed off when my back went out about 8 years ago. I love training so if you have an idea it would be greatly appreciated. Best to you all!I am always one lift, from Perfection.

So im unsure if its a sore feeling or not,
I've noticed when I started working in the ER / Ambulance shifts 10-12+ hours my lower back hurts when Im on my feet all day/night. I used to be cook and worked on my feet for 15+ days. Had some pain but it went away as my body got used to it.
Its back again. When I squat / lift I don't have any back issues. I don't feel any activatino in my lower back when squating etc. When I wake up my lower back kinda has a ache feeling/slight annoying pain like it needs stretching. When I slouch sitting it hurts sometimes.
Im unsure how to describe it but its like above my tail bone on my left side sort of.
Any idea on what it maybe? am I just sore as I started working out hard again a few weeks ago as wellUSN Vet, Student, Loser.

I found something really puzzling..
Hey guys, I'm not sure if I found a new method to decrease discomfort in the lumbar spine, but I can't find anything about it online. Anyways, almost every time I squat or deadlift my lower back becomes very tight and painful. I've been constantly working on improving my form, but I guess this can be hard as my sacrum is placed a little bit horizontally which makes the lumbar spine area more prone to injuries. Also my pelvis is tilted to the front (anterior pelvic tilt). I'm working on it but in the meantime I saw a yoga teacher giving advice to some student complaining about lower back pain. The teacher asked her to tightly wrap a strap around her hips (below waist). It puzzled me and I tried that at home while doing dishes (this is always giving me pain, but maybe it's only psychological It turned out that this helps a lot so I also tried that in the gym for squats, deadlifts and overhead press. Big difference! My lumbar spine felt only slightly affected!
Anyone heard about this method before? My suspicion is that this is a substitute for weak pelvic floor muscles or loose hips..

I haven't been here for ages, but I really am appreciating all this stuff about the lower back. Being in my 20's with lower back pain is quite irritating, because it makes me feel old I have however found that stretching the glutes, hams, hips, have helped me tremendously... which guess what? Are very neglected for the most part. I would strongly recommend people learn to stretch properly and make a habit out of it -- I spend about 2 hours stretching every week all up, and one day focused on just working it out of my system.

Lower back pain has been fairly debilitating for me over the past three years, and was preventing regular workouts and lifting.
NASAIDS were severely screwing up my stomach .
I was recommended Hemp Oil as a way to speed recovery.
CBD in bodybuilding is used mostly as a recovery agent.
IT has pretty powerful anti inflammatory affects that have been documented .
IT would be used pre or post workout if there were any signs of inflammation. It has been shown in some studies to be several hundred times more potent then NASAIDS such as aspirin.
You need to make sure you have a supplement that is just CBD , this means it is a legal supplement , and also that your workout will not be affected
I used , Oil of Sunshine ,
for this purpose. It was shipped to me and I supplemented 1 to 2 times a day.
