I did some searching and found some information about it. I have very vascular legs and arms, and I red that the reason for this can be some of the following "low body fat ( Usually below 5%), low retained water, high blood pressure and muscle engorgement" also genetics. But if those are the reasons why or possible reasons is also temperature one? I notice when I am cold the veins are less noticeable then when its really hot out. Also besides gaining weight is there any other way to make my veins a little less pronounced, my bf gives me a hard time about it and I just was wondering if there was anything I could do...

Vascularity is all about genetics than anything else. I have very small veins...per every frustrated nurse that has to take my blood...Even when I get lower than 8% for my shows, they only veins that show are in my shoulders and forearms only.
Sorry ladies you can't get rid of it...National Level Competitor (Female BB)

Mine are like that too when I'm warm. The attached picture is when I'm warm, but not pumped. It's all over both sides of my forearms, but I took a picture of the underside since you can see the bicep vein too. I love the vascular look. I'd love to be even "veiny-er", but I think I'd have to drop my body fat into the single digits (or close to it) and that wouldn't be healthy unless I'm aiming for a bodybuilding stage.

Genetics is a big factor in determining how vascular a person will be. Low body fat is part of it, but no one gets to below 5%...well maybe a few male bodybuilders, but that's about it. Most women are going to be far above that . But it's possible to see vascularity even when not super lean. Yes, temperature is a huge factor. I'm very vascular when I'm warm, but when I'm cold my veins retreat.

I know, same here! That picture was taken when I was warm and relaxed and when I'm pumped they pop even more. I love it too :P. I want even MORE vascularity, even though most people are grossed out when they see my veins, lol. That's one of the things I love about this site...you can show veins and people aren't like, "omgz, that is disgusting".

Not working out is another option to control vascularity. LOL
I have been fortunate that vascularity is something that men who are attracted to me actually LIKE about me. In addition to my personally always thinking veins look cool, positive feedback over mine has made me proud of them. Anyway, vascularity IS attractive to a lot of people and something you should be able to appreciate about yourself.
Honestly, nobody I've dated has ever ragged on me over something beyond my control that he'd consider a shortcoming (stretch marks, not the greatest boobs...I have lots of things that, over the years I could have been given a hard time about). Maybe you need to talk to bf about not being a jerk over such things? All it accomplishes is making you feel insecure and that's plain wrong.
