Then we get another set of cockbags in office. Nothing will change. Even if we do magically get change, it will be short lived. Humans will never allow for a system that benefits humans.

Both parties are the same. Thankfully more people are starting to realize this. Support people & ideology, not parties.

I hate both parties as much as the next guy. I know Bush had the biggest deficit in our history, until Obama that is. But come on a least the republicans dont support cap and trade.

Sweet, beautiful gridlock. Nothing really gets done, the government leaves us the hell alone and we get entertained from watching those goofballs fighting amongst each other.

nothing can change unless one side has a super majority.

At this point, we are so divided, that one pary needs over 60 confirmed senate seats to get anything done.

Nothing changes...that's why i laughed at the attitude coming into the last election...
blah blah blah hope and change...
both major parties, along with many politicians in general are working their jobs as salesmen, just in politics as much as anything else...
this, in turn gets them elected and after that it's all about selling whatever ideas they think will keep them in office...

people in this country, most likely because of laziness, put far too much faith in their political leaders...
i think, because it's easier to blame them for inaction than to reflect on their own...
the only way things get done is when people actually do the work themselves...but, as a society, and ultimately as a species, humans don't overtly reflect this...

the blame game is much easier than actually lifting a finger...

The ideal government is one locked in a battle with itself and unable to pass any legislation at all imo. Too bad we haven't had 200+ years of that.

Not as long as Obama is in office. They'll fight him tooth and nail and THEN they'll capitulate to whatever corporatist Republican gets elected president in 2012.

"So you got fired again eh?" "Yeah, they always freak out when you leave the scene of an accident."

Spiders are like offensive linemen, the best ones do their job and you never notice them.

the problem, is i don't doubt it...

i understand it's hard to find time and energy for many people with school, multiple jobs, etc to find time to take action of their own...and they do have, i guess rightly, to figure that is what elected officials are for...unfortunately, there's too much invested in the form of capital in politics, so from a high percentage of elected officials the vested monetary interest will always trump popular interest unless it's going to highly affect chances of re-election...

it's going to take a massive effort by our general populace to change that, though as i said in my previous post, i think the ease of just complaining over taking action will win that war until something profoundly negative happens...
last time it really seemed we had a general interest in the well being of this nation was directly after 9/11...unfortunately it takes something so large and devastating to actually mobilize that attitude...

That's true. But if Obama had an (R) by his name you would have the exact same people pushing his legislation instead of fighting it, for the most part. It makes me want to vomit with rage.
