Bench Press vs. Height and Weight

I am 17 year old male at 5'5" and 130lbs. My max bench press is 230 lbs and I keep working on it. Where do I compare with other people? Also, kids at school say that the only reason i can do so much is because I have shorter arms than them so i don't have to lift the bar as far, thus making it easier for me. Is this true or is it just an excuse for the taller people?

Listen kid. Your a midget with arms so short a gnome would be ashamed to have them. So yea thats why you can probably bench so much.

Seriously though its true if your short with smaller arms you will find it easier then someone whos taller with longer arms.

very believable.. i played football with a kid who was 5'3 119lbs and could rep 225lbs
