pretty sure height DOES have something to do w/ it.
but still 130 doing 230 is impressive in its own right.
theres a guy at my gym thats like.. 5'3" ish and prob like 140-150 and he puts up 3 plates each side. guy is literally a SQUARE... but even him going full ROM and hitting his chest he only really looks like he's moving the bar a total of like 10 inchesYou have 3 choices in life: be good, get good, or give up. -House

Obviously. But a 6' person with the same build as a 5' person is obviously going to weigh more than the 5' person, so it still doesn't change anything.
I mean, you could say the same about your average IFBB pro (around 5'11) and Lee Priest (around 5'4). Lee Priest is above your average IFBB pro proportionately (and I mean average, the ones people don't hear of, not Ronnie, etc.), but a less built pro of greater height will have more mass.Last edited by crunchfit; 11-19-2009 at 02:51 PM.

I find I have problems benching. When I go to unrack the bar at the tallest clip my arms are almost at 90 degrees. Adding to the fact that my wingspan is 6'8" it doesn't help with moving weight. Btw my max is unknown cause I've just gotten back from a 10mo shoulder injury so I'm mainly benching 185 for reps right now.

yea thats good man and i hear so much **** about it in school about how its because i have shorter arms...the way i see it is that weight is weight
and for my height and weight, benching 100 over is pretty good
i have been working out for about 2 years now...really started getting into benching in february 2009 and im kinda at a plateau right now.....

VERY GOOD OP, the best I ever did was 235x5 @140. Pyramid and sets of three reps with negatives can explode those muscles so much more. From what I have heard, is that muscles tear deeper and better when going on the way DOWN with heavy weight and slow!
