its bad enough there are as few pro shows as there are... but to lose the 3rd best show in bodybuilding...

lol good luck getting bodybuilders to give back to the sport...

show needs to be saved. they need to start selling these shows pay per view... or sell the whole season through cable or something. i would buy it.

bodybuilding is a mess.

I've been to the Ironman a couple times. I really enjoyed it when it was in Pasadena, but when it moved to the Convention Center it just kind of lost something. The expo was bigger and better, but the show itself just felt kind of... cheap.

I definitely want to see the Ironman stick around, but it could use a bit of reboot.

Fuuny thing is that for the fans what counts alomost entirely are the Arnold and the Olympia. Even some top competitors are doing only these two shows, or just the Olympia (if you are its winner).
If you ask someone who took the Ironman in the previous years, it's very likely that he'll not know. And the other smaller shows are mainly about the qualifications for the Olympia. But less shows are a loss for the bbing anyway.

What!! thats just so crazy, so many pros have cut there teeth winning the ironman, its a hallmark of bodybuilding, hopefully it will be back in 2011

It seems screwy that Florida can support 3 pro shows yet somebody can't step in and make the Ironman successful.

AND.. there's NO ONE lifting a finger to try and save it, help it, grow it, market it.

I'm not even trying to be an ass here, but if you're aware of this situation (and seem to have been for some time now) why aren't you doing something about? Afterall this is the organization you are part of.

Vince Taylor and Gary Strdom can still compete too, that would be a sick line up.
