I only perform 2 sets per exercise.
1 x 4-6
1 x 8-12
So Chest day example..
2 x Incline BB Bench
2 x Flat DB Bench
2 x Incline Fly's
That's it. Hit the sets with full intensity and you don't need to waste your time with a plethora of useless sets. You grow outside of the gym when your sleeping, resting and eating, not when your in the gym hitting the weights, so keep your workouts short and straight to the point.
Back is usually a little more sets, due to more exercises to completely isolate the Back muscles.
2 x Weighted Pull-ups (Kind of a warm-up, but not)
2 x Bent-over BB Rows
2 x DB or T-bar Rows
2 x Deadlifts
Sometimes I'll do just Rows and Deadlifts if I'm in a hurry and I'll be sore as hell and wiped out in 4-5 sets MAX.
Chest
Legs(Squats)
Off
Shoulders/Triceps
Back/Biceps (Deadlifts)
Off
Off
This split allows pretty good recovery time between Heavy Squats and Deads.Last edited by BillabongVolcom; 11-08-2009 at 08:31 PM.
I had all the normal teenage fantasies..cars, girls, money, blow. Then my parents left for a week, and all my fantasies came true!
