    Cheat meals?

    I have a cheat meal every month or so and if I ate ALOT would this affect my gains/goals?

    No, you need one to sustain especially if you have a lot to cut.

    I've been cutting for 19 months, have had a cheat DAY every week. Been losin 1-2 lbs a week.

    depends on the person, some have it once a week, I have it once every 2-3 weeks, some have it once a month, some don't.

    i have it 2-3 times a week(uninented ones) but hey im not gonna go out and NOT have some burgers that would be insane

    Yeah the worst thing you can do is set the bar too high. I eat healthy most of the time, but I don't have the time always to cook when I want a hot meal so I eat fast food occasionally. I also cook italian sausage and precooked bacon and frozen pizzas and cheese and Annies homegrown mac and cheese occasionally. It's cheating but at least it's not popeys, kfc or mcD's all the time.

    The occasional cheat meal is typically good for you and can help, but it depends on what your goals are.

    If you gave more info, I bet you'd get more help.

    I actually had a cheat meal today. I usually don't EVER cheat (and I mean never). But the Navy is not letting me go on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's leave so since I won't be able to let loose on one of those days by accident, I just made it a decision (still, don't know why) to cheat today...and man, was it good. I hit my caloric goal for the day (2700 cal) and then at 6 PM after my friends harassed me for LSU losing to Bama I decided to go out with them. I had a medium Papa John's BBQ chicken pizza (for myself) w/ no bacon. Papa John's forgot the BBQ sauce...yay! Saved myself a ton of calories with the lack of bacon/BBQ sauce. But then after I got back to my room I ate a 14 oz. container of Haagen-Dazs Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream and an entire box of Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal (that has been sitting unopened in my locker for months now) with skim milk. Hit around 5000 calories today I am sure with that late night binge. Whatever, I guess it hit a good spot and now I can carry on with my bulk/cut cycles.
