    back pains

Because I have to run frequently with a lot of gear on my pack, my lower back is gradually hurting more and more. Will I be okay to do heavy clean pulls or should i stick to regular weight? And does anyone know what else I can do to alleviate the pain, besides foam rolling? I stretch daily, as well, but because of the stress that's put on my back it just doesn't seem to work very well.

    Thanks guys

I would not do clean pulls. Try to save your back as much as you can. You could start wearing a belt.

I do contrast showers just on my lower back, as well as epsom salt baths.

    Man that's ****ty :d
I never did clean pulls before anyway and still progressed, I was lookn forward to seeing if they'd help a lot. Gay usmc is fking me up pretty good. All this crap in boots and flack jackets + machinegun stuff kills me. My back actually feels better immediately after lifting but then I wake up in stiffness
O can someone refer me to a sweet belt?

You probably don't need pulls with your specific issues anyways

belt can help alot to alleviate stress off the back if used properly (sticking the gut out against it, etc), especially off the floor in a pull or the bottom of a squat

waltinger, for OLing the valeo belts work good, I know a few OLers who also dabble in PL that have the lever belts but I've never tried one

Or if you can rig one up, reverse hypers can open the spinal column even more than regular hypers. Used them with great effect on gbg, who has a herniated disc and SI issues. Really, they are my favorite exercise for re-hab for the lower back.

Yes, my back's a mess have been pain freefor a while now, reverse hypers is great would recommend it.

In the morning when your stiff put some heat (moist) on it and then do some pelvic tilts can't send a link at work.

Pelvic tilts can actually help generate moist heat if done correctly, so I hear.

How do you rig up a reverse hyper (without looking completely insane)?

You are doomed from the start.

That out of the way, a power rack is the easiest. Pad one of the bars/pins and stretch out across the damn thing. Hold a DB between your feet, or tie a band up somehow. Hard to describe, but easy if you look at it.

If you are fairly handy, it is not hard to design a simple platform out of plywood and a couple of pieces of galvanized pipe to drop right over the pins. If you can figure out how to rig up a pivot attachment with another piece of pipe as a cross-brace and two more making up the bar/plate loading assembly, you are in the money.

You cannot go really heavy, but for lower back rehab, you do not need to.

You cannot go really heavy, but for lower back rehab, you do not need to.
you could use a band on a regular hyper bench too right?

That's what I used to do just get on reversed
Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

Hard to get full extension at the bottom. Key to using reverse hypers for re-hab is the extra ROM that actually de-compresses/opens the spine. Thing of beauty.
