Background info :
Whey Protein Powder for athletes:
One of the most popular sports supplements ever created is whey protein. Nothing helps muscle recovery like a healthy dose of amino acids. It's not realistic to think we can carry around food to eat after a workout or sporting event. However, it is important to take in a quality protein after strenuous exercise. This is why whey protein supplements are so popular among athletes. Taking a protein shake with you to the gym or athletic field is a quick and easy way to ensure you can get the proper nutrients at the proper time.
Most weight lifters know that muscle does not grow while in the gym. We actually tear our muscle tissue down in the gym. How effectively our body repairs that muscle tissue depends on proper nutrition and supplementation. The most important time to take in a high quality whey protein supplement is within 40 minutes after a workout or strenuous activity. This is when we can take full advantage of protein synthesis and prime our bodies for recovery. It is also important to supply amino acids to our muscles every couple of hours. Again, this is where the convenience of whey protein supplements come in handy; they are great for supplying our muscles the amino acids needed for recovery between meals or prior to bed.
As an athlete, there are many ways to use a whey protein supplement to reach different fitness goals. Please feel free to contact us with questions regarding your protein supplementation.
Whey Protein Powder for women:
One of the most common questions among women when talking about whey protein supplements is in relation to gaining weight or growing big muscles. Actually, there is no better way to lose weight or tone your muscles than by properly using a whey protein supplement.
Protein boosts your metabolism, which is the rate at which your body burns food for energy. If you think about adding coal to a fire, the more coal you add, the hotter and faster the fire burns. This is what occurs when you add protein to your body; the more protein you consume, the faster your metabolism, and the more calories you burn.
Protein also promotes lean muscle mass. This doesn't mean you will grow large muscles, but that muscles will become toned and sculpted. You must understand that our muscles are made up of proteins and by supplementing with a high quality whey isolate you will increase lean muscle tissue, recover from exercise quicker, and boost your metabolism.
Why a whey protein supplement?
It's a good way to consume a good quality protein without consuming extra carbs and calories.
The convenience of being able to take a shake on the go is conducive to fast paced lifestyles.
Reduces snacking at home or hitting the vending machine in the office.
Is a great between meal snack.

Will whey protein help me lose weight?
Will whey protein help me lose weight?
Adding whey protein to the diet is a great way to jump-start a weight loss program. Whey protein is a key ingredient in numerous weight loss and meal replacement products and whey protein isolate (with no fat or carbohydrates) is often the preferred choice. Research is very conclusive that individuals who combine diets rich protein foods, like whey protein, and exercise have more lean muscle tissue and they lose more body fat. As they lose fat their metabolic rate increases and they actually burn more calories each day. Another way that whey protein helps manage weight is by promoting satiety, or a feeling of fullness.Toni

This is an amazing product. The taste with water alone is amazing. It is zero carb, very low in cholesterol, and sugar free...sweetened with Stevia, around 100 calories per scoop of 25g protein. I have mixed it with light vanilla soy milk and found it to be the best tasting protein ever.
