those have trap written all over them. There is no reason oregon and oklahoma should only be favored by 5.5. I wouldn't touch the OSU game with a 10 foot pole, never know which pryor is going to show up. same for oregon state, their D is atrocious, but if shut down javid best, then cal is a push over. BOL tho.

The minimum is anything I believe. Basically they give you a point spread and you either cover or you don't. For example, if the Bulls are -3, and they win by 4 you win. If they win by 3, you push and get your money back. If the win by 2 or less or lose straight up, you lose what you initially bet plus 10 percent juice. So if they didn't cover and you bet 10, you'd lose 11. You can also pick teams to just win straight up but you will most likely be paying heavy juice for a lot of teams. Like if the Bulls are say -200, you'd have to put up 20 to win 10.

Uh yeah. I'm guessing you think you're good because you can pick games like Cleveland over Washington tonight. Everyone is good at picking winners and losers. Here we deal with spreads and moneylines. It's pretty simple and it's all been answered in the last couple pages of the thread.
I see you're Canadian. If you want to get started, this is the site you use.

You won't find lower juice (the percentage you pay the bookie to take your action... you only pay it on bets you lose) anywhere. I personally bet on a couple others once in a while if they have a better line (thegreek.com, 5dimes.com), but Pinnacle takes 95% of my action.

so i'm at the pinnacle website and i'm staring at this:
Code:Tue 11/3 701 Washington Wizards +11.5 -111 +590 OVER 197.5 +101 04:05 PM 702 Cleveland Cavaliers -11.5 +101 -650 UNDER 197.5 -111
what do the other numbers mean:
-111 +590 OVER 197.5 +101

The -111 means you have to risk 111 dollars to win 100 dollars if you take the Wizards +11.5. The +590 is the Wizards moneyline. If you risk 100 dollars on them to win outright, you profit 590 if they win.
The +101 next to the Cavs means you have to risk 100 dollars to win 101 dollars if you take the Cavs -11.5. Looks like Brainiac answered your over/under question.

i just found a site where you can do fake betting, just gonna give that a shot see how it works before i dive into the real thing.
i want to learn the process so i don't lose money
my picks are for:
washington (+11.6), i can't see the cavs running away on this one, wiz are too good.
nuggets (-6) this one seems way too easy. nuggets by 6 or more is obvious
celtics (-7.5) another easy pick. don't like sixers chances too much even at home
magic (-7) pretty straightforward, magic favorite to win by 7 or more is laughable.
mavs (-6) this is gonna be close but jazz are away and suck on the road, plus last nights game which was a loss at home has the jazz down.

i don't know where you are doing "fake" betting, but you can go to covers.com, make an account and pick and it will keep track of all your stats. You can also enter contests for most correct picks in a month, most correct picks in a row, etc. Good way to get a feel for it, have a little fun and not lose your shirt. Also, covers.com has some good info, but it also has a lot of touts preaching their picks like they are gospel.
