happy my deload week is over, timed it well cos i couldn't really be bothered with the gym this week. i think the lack of motavtion is coming from not getting pushed enough at rugby training.

my grip strength is horid i really strugled with the 125kg deadlift and i think i went 2,1,1,1 and not a straight 5 really wanted to hold more with the barbell aswell but i don't think i made 30secs once with 70kg so ive got alot of work to do on my grip and forearms.
people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

just felt like beasting myself in the gym probably not the best thing to do the night before a game but i'm only gona get a max of 60mins. my clean form is so bad. i duno where to start with it so many things wrong with it. the hang pulls where good the 90kg was pretty much to my chin and the 110kg the chest. which is annoying as i know the strength is there for the cleans as it's just my technique to get under the bar or flick that is failing me.

things i know are wrong with my clean, can't get under the bar, knees and feet allways point out, elbows finish at the side instead of infront of me. feels like i lack the general flexibility to do cleans mainly in the hips and wrists.
people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

    2min 'sprint' on rower 523m.

again pretty decent workout, deadlifts felt good. push press was shakey again but the numbers are good, might not have been all there mentally. grip wasnt great for the chin ups but i'm happy with 17 in one set. also tried a few of the strongman stuff that was posted in the rugby thread. its alot harder than it sounds wrists went on the hold and 2mins is a long time to be going at 100%. also probably talked to much tonight instead of just getting on with it.

pleased with that work out the farmer walk sprints combo was quite posibly the hardest thing ive done in the gym or at training in a very very long time. snatch technique felt great at 30kg, 40kg was ok but it was more just strength than technique. i think from now on my oly lifts should be more about from than numbers.

yeh meant to be playing forrester at the 1000th time of asking, we've got a league and cup double header but it'l prob get called off again. you still not in the mood for rugby. although it's getting hard ignoring my coaches team talks talk about demotivating and even more annoying that no matter what i do the longest ill get game time wise is some combination of 60mins our coaches are still rotating just for the sake of rotation it often feels pre planed. 2's rugby is pish tho i hate it doesn't matter who's 2's it is either it's all 2nd XV rugby.

great workout 2night i think the fact i had alot to eat 2day made a diiference. only problem was i jarred my knee a bit during the farmer's wlaks so i had to stop them as i reckon the 2nd time would of been quicker and i wanted to do a few more sets also still have a bit of bicep strain which is why i think i failed the 240 on the deads as i got the second atempt off the floor just.

nice light friday night workout probably more like what i should be doing on a friday. needed the pre-hab/ re-hab work and the technique work on the snatchs. although i don't like going to the gym and not getting a pump and doing a hard session.

decent enough workout, wanted a few more reps for bench and the squats but sometimes it just doesn't happen when i'm not totaly in the zone. not sure if i like the chinese rows noticed the difference doing them though so i might stick with em. back was sore for most of the workout think it was still recovering from the deads last week and those rows aren't to kind on it.

I gotta start doing the kg conversions, b/c I'm looking at the stats and thinking "my god, this guy plays rugby and benches 115lbs 4 times?" Then I realize, "oh wait, that's pretty good..."

decent enough session again probably not ideal pre-match work out but ive decided to play the weather gamble and hope tomoro is off as i don't really fancy playing hooker. really happy with the push press only meant to do 3 seing as i have a game 2moro. happy with the deadlifts aswell, as i forgot to put my belt on for 190 and was suprised how little difference there was and i never really went tits mental as i didn't wana totally kill myself for 2moz so i reckon with a belt and proper going for it atleast 8 reps was on the cards but 6 was good. deload next week yay!!

if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

just sorta mucked around, had to wait a while to get into the hall to do sprints. so i did extra chin ups and pull ups and did some stuff with a med ball passing, throwing off a wall, pressing into the air, twists, sit ups what ever came to mind. not happy with my grip had to use straps for the 130kg on the deads and i was strugling to hang in on the pull ups. gona do some more circuit work on friday just to mix it up for a week.

think i may have redefined the term booze sweats, i hate hungover gym sessions. not to happy with the bench did that for cycle 1 wave 3(my first 5/3/1) so it's not really any progress over 2monts ill blame it on the booze. also probably going to have to weds session 2moro rugby trainings been moved to wednesday this week getting a guest coach in and he's coaching his own team on tuesday.

yeh pretty happy with the squats really tried to get that 10th rep but it just wasn't happening.

game was cancled at the weekend waterlogged pitch had a pretty good training session instead tho. ardrossan prem3 cup?? i think we've got your old team gordoinans up next. we've lost all 3 of our games this season, we're running out of time to get points on the board.

naw lol. i'm just going through a bored stage with what to do with day 3 in the gym. my life's to sad just to not goto the gym and i didn't fancy lifting heavy 2days in a row. plus i read on some random site that doing stuff like that is better for burning fat than cardio and i despise cardio.
