    Cool The homework help thread...(SERIOUS)

People want this so here it is.

Additional mod note by Arlecchino: Serious thread is serious. On that note, I will try and get whatever mods I can to stop by from time to time. Many of us are reasonably well educated, and some of us have collegiate teaching experience and other related experience that may be of use. No promises, will see what I can do.

Please do not crap up the thread.

OT and non-serious posts have been deleted.

    Keep the thread that way.

i is the square root of -1

therefore i to the power of i

is square root of -1 squared

    = -1

It's not do my homework thread, it's help me with my hw thread

Good luck with that, all I can remember is that the North had more railways for transporting supplies to the troops and they had a higher population that the South. Also, the North was industrialized. That should give a good start, just expand on it.

    I deleted 13 posts.

Check with your local community college or even local universities. Some may even have online education. If you want me to look at them after you have found one, shoot me a PM since that is what I do.

i just got an invite to go to UM this summer for 3 weeks (they pay) the only courses that look like they might be what i'm looking for are sports medicine, sports administration, and health and medicine........ i'm assuming none of these are remotely close to strength and conditioning.....

You would be surprised. I do a **** ton of admin crap. Sports med is always useful, and the basics of health and medicine are as well. Unless, of course, you plan on never have athletes get sick or injured.

Of course you can post it. That is what the thread is here for. My enforcing the serious tag is so that this thread will actually be (hopefully) useful.

As the two were walking back, Mr. Mears was worried on how they were going to explain this to Mr. and Mrs. Barclay. Once he caught up to her he was definitely going to ask Kezia.

“Kezia, how are we going to explain to Mr. and Mrs. Barclay about what had happened?” Mr. Mears asked. “And most importantly, to Mr. Hathaway?”

Kezia did not answer for a second, this was puzzling to her as well, but all of a sudden the simple answer popped into her brain, and she pretty much knew what to do.

“I know what to do,” Kezia replied meekly. “I have been thinking about this for a while too, don’t worry about it, and ride on.”

Mr.Mears was relieved to hear this, but he was still anxious. Now, he was a little bit hesitant in going back, but he trusted Kezia as well, she seemed quite knowledgeable, especially since she managed the situation with the storm quite well. Kezia, in the meantime, had her plan ready, but the tinderbox she threw out was bothering her, because she knew that Mr. Barclay knew that she had it and she could have used it instead of bundling with Mr. Mears.

They had finally arrived. She was going to tell Mr. Barclay the truth about what had happened. They approached at the door, and Mr. Mears led her in prayer. Kezia took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Nabby, the slave girl, answered. She looked confused, but welcomed Kezia back. She walked with Mr. Mears to the living room where Mr. Barclay was. She was quite calm about this whole situation, but Mr. Mears’ had a thin layer of perspiration on his palms and forehead.

She explained the whole situation: about how they were stuck in a snow storm, with the snow almost at her waist, and how the snow blew so hard, and that it was so cold they had to take cover for the night, she explained how it was freezing and they had to bundle so they would not freeze to death, and also that it was too wet to start a fire with the tinderbox, and at the end, she made a sincere apology.

Mr. Barclay nodded almost like he understood. Kezia was shocked to see this. There must have been some reason why he responded like that, Mr. Barclay did not act his usual way, with his boastful way of saying things. She knew there must have been some reasons behind this. She then remembered that Mr. Hathaway must have been quite upset about this whole situation.

“How are you going to tell Mr. Hathaway?” She asked.

Mrs. Barclay looked down, and Mr. Barclay pretended he did not hear it; their faces were solemn and sad. Mrs. Barclay slowly walked up to Kezia, put her arm around her shoulder, and sighed.

“Mr. Hathaway already knows what happened; he is up there” Mrs. Barclay pointed up, “in heaven. He died because he was so anxious about you, he was waiting ever so anxiously for you, and when you did not make it to the marriage, he had a heart attack and died.” Then she and Mr. Barclay left the living room, leaving her and Mr. Mears alone.

Kezia did not respond. She felt guilty from all this. Mrs. Barclay left and it was just her and Mr. Mears. Mr. Mears had been silent all this time. Kezia began to cry, she knew it was not her fault that Mr. Hathaway was dead and she felt bad about it, but she knew she could not do anything about it. Tears started to flow down her cheeks. Mr. Mears put his arm around her.

They sat alone in the living room. The fire place was warm, and the wind outside died down, there was a full moon glowing in the sky. It seemed like everything was going to be alright.

    Reflection

In the original story, most of it is told between Mr. Mears and Kezia, and what happens between the two, because there was so much information on these two characters it was a lot easier to write about them, and so most of my story was also on Mr. Mears and Kezia. Mr. Mears is not very knowledgeable but a very religious man, as he is a preacher. When they did have to take cover from the snowstorm, it was Kezia who was teaching him how to survive and what to do so he would not have to freeze to death. He was quick to pray about their predicament in the hut. In my story, Mr. Mears is very similar. When they did approach the Barclay’s residence “Mr. Mears led Kezia in prayer”. He was very nervous and awkward when they had to explain the situation, with “a thin layer of perspiration on his palms and neck.” Kezia was also doing most of the talking and explaining with Mr. Mears just there, saying nothing. Kezia on the otherhand, is the opposite of Mr. Mears. She is sly, sneaky, and very ingenious. She was the one who was teaching Mr. Mears the survival skills, and guiding him on what to do so they would not freeze to death. “Nor’easters usually … a night” she explained to Mr. Mears.. And what showed she was very clever, was when she “bundled” with Mr. Mears, instead of using the ‘tinderbox – Mr. Barclays wedding gift to Mr. Hathaway” to create heat. In my story, Kezia is also very smart, she thought for a while about what to say to explain the situation to Mr. Barclay. She even figured out there was something wrong, when “Mr. Barclay did not act his usual way, with his boastful way of saying things.” Even though Mr. Hathaway had died, Kezia still got her way in a sense of not marrying him. Like the original story, I made the ending seem like everything was alright, and that they lived happily ever after.

lol, yeah, I got that. By "net in-migration or net out?" Did you mean does the US have more people entering the country than exiting?

    Then it'd be net in-migration.

Sorry, it just seemed worded weird to me lol
