Didn't lift today either, did some conditioning, pulled the sled.
Do any of you guys have tendonitis or carpull tunnel from lifting?
have it in both elbows as well as CT in my right wrist, spoke with the doc at work and he said men in general have a larger structure therefor have larger tunnels and the nerve isn't as likely to get intrapped.
Even so I would think with the years of lifting and repitition something would eventually develop, specifically with cleans.Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

I didn't lift either, I went to the doctor in the morning to run yearly bloodwork and just fell asleep when I got back to the house.
And gbg, it's not a debate if we both agree! You should never teach the re-bend. The re-bend is a transition phase that occurs between the first and second pull, the objective of that phase is to assume proper pull positioning for the second pull. So to learn the transition, you have to learn what you are transitioning to; so you first learn the starting position for the second pull. That's why new lifters usually get taught the lift from the hang first, to get that muscle memory for the second pull. So when you work from the floor your body knows where to put the bar so you can explode correctly.
If you want to speed up the transition phase, get your hamstrings stronger and do some work from the hang or blocks below knee.Olympic Weightlifting: Cuban Method

I'm obviously no expert, but I agree. I have tried to actively do the re-bend, and I always started the second waaaay to early and sent the bar forward, or just did not even get to lift the bar. One of my problems before early on where I developed a lot of bad habits with trying to learn the lifts was actively trying to learn the rebend. I do not even think about the rebend now, only pulling properly and getting into position.

Anybody else go to sleep after they finish the workout and have their PWO meal? I usually get like 3 hours of napping/sleep after a training session.

How can you sleep after training? I'm all pumped up, I'm in the gym at 5am have to work after.
Exactly!! usually only get 4-5 hours, been sleeping good this past week though getting 7 hrs which is unusual for me.
Snatches today was very happy with them finally getting the technique down.Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

I do out of necessity. Mon and Wed night, I don't get home until about 8:15, workout, then have about 30 min to an hour to get to bed. It sucks because sometimes I have issues falling asleep. I usually take some Melatonin or Advil PM on those nights. Mon night is not as bad because I generally don't train as heavy.
