oatmeal makes me hungry??!?

Now I know it is said that oatmeal is supposed to help suppress you appetite, by making you feel full longer etc.

However, when I eat oatmeal, whether it be old fasioned or instant I get insanely hungry a couple hours later. The feeling of hunger seems atleast two times stronger than if I didn't eat oatmeal.

Whats up with that?

I'm not really sure, but maybe that hunger is actually boredom? Usually when I eat something and I'm hungry an hour or two later, it's when I'm just bored with whatever I'm doing.

I dunno I usually eat every 2-3 hours so maybe it's a good thing?? try eating it with other stuff (fat and protein) that may hold you over longer...
