I really want to get into personal training but I dont know what book I should buy first.
can some one recomend a certification please so i can buy the book.

wow i just looked at the NASM web page and it cost 700 bucks for everything... I dont want everything I just want the book.. I dont need the study guides and practice guids and vids....
im searching on google right now to search for the book but so far no luck.. if some one could help me find a book i would appreciate it... in the mean time im still looking.

the best recognized certs in my opinion (shared opinion by many others) are from NSCA, ACSM, NASM, and ACE

i'm not too familiar with them. i will say that having worked in personal training, having gone to various conferences in the field, having been in academia, etc. the 4 i mentioned tend to get the most respect. that's not necessarily to say others are not good, i just don't think they're as established/recognized.

Go to the organization's website... It tells you everything you have been asking about in the past 3 threads (costs, materials, time, etc...).
Really, it depends on your experience and knowledge in the field. Some people with degrees and backgrounds in fitness, kinestheology, and nutrition can take the test and pass within weeks while those who have little experience may take months...~Coach Rick Sterling Tarleton
