now im wondering what is required to acheive a certificate.. I have someone at my gym that said he got certified at a local college, and it required 28 hours in class.. so he used two weekends to get it done. could this be true?
and im wondering what some of the rates and charges other trainers have for there clients.. how much do you charge and hour/workout? and do u manage there programs for free? or is there a charge on that to?

This is ALL variable. It depends where you get it and what type of certification you want to get. Rates also depend so much. If you're working at a gym then they are going to take a commission from your payment. Usually you make up a regimen/program for your clients already with what they are paying you per session, that includes an assessment as well.
