Picked up that stuff I was talking about the other day. I was not disappointed. I'll almost definitely pay for the kettlebells I got last week by the time I get all of this stuff sold; in fact, I'll probably be ahead again!
Anyway, when I got there the man had disassembled most of the stuff and had about a third of it in his driveway already. Plus, as we were working he asked me if I wanted a punching bag (about a 40 lber), a Norditrack Recumbent Bike, and a bag full of adult size hockey equipment (with 3 sticks & a pair of skates). He said he was going to give that stuff to Play it Again, but knew they wouldn't give him much so he said I could just have it all! SCORE!!
There's only a couple of things I want from this haul, so most of its getting flipped. But he did have 2 pair of 2.5lb platemates, an exercise mat, and a smattering of the pancake plates I need for the db's. Not too bad picking the stuff up or getting it into my garage for that matter; and the seller was a decent dude. He is renovating and hadn't worked out for a couple of years so wanted it all out.
All the loot in my trailer:
Punching Bag, 30 & 50lb York DB's, Platemates, 4" Leather Belt, Bodysolid Ab Straps:
Standard Plates (about 125lbs or so):
Olympic Plates (550 lbs or so including the hundos on the floor) & Tree:
Nordictrack Recumbent Bike (Self Powered, nice shape):
Lat PD (Rough shape), Stand Alone Dip station, (Preacher Bench & Oly EZ Bar):
Rest on another post..........

The rest of the story:
Pec Dec (Really nice plate loaded one. I don't need one or I'd keep this):
Old School Squat Rack with torn up FID (The rack is in super shape, very nice):
Bodysolid Hack Sled/45 degree leg press (excellent shape):
As it sits in my garage!:
I also got several mats and a Bodysolid FID that is in really good shape, but forgot to get pics. So......all of the above for $400! Not too shabby. I really wish I could keep the leg press, the pec dec, and the dip station....they are very nice pieces of equipment. However, I already have 2 leg machines and don't use them too much and I have plenty of options for dips so can't afford the space. The pec dec, well.....nice or not, does anybody "need" a pec dec
We'll see how it all pans out, I'm pretty stoked right now though as those kettlebells were a good deal, but not cheap by any means. I got em because I didn't see another deal like that popping up....but was disappointed because my equipment $ were tapped and I was even on all my new stuff....had to go into the hole and had nothing to sell!! Now I can explain to my wife how I spent so much on them....but they're going to be free eventually!
I'll repost that deal later and maybe keep this thread alive in the future if I come across some other stuff.Last edited by Keetman; 08-27-2009 at 03:01 PM.

Sweets for the keet!
Do you plan on reconditioning any of the items or will you sell them as is? And speaking of reconditioning, what happened to that bench? Dog have a snack?
What are you keeping? If God had wanted us to be weak, He wouldn't have given us iron.

Well......its a fire truck sign thing......duh.
Its an authentic street sign. I don't know how they're marked in California, I imagine its the same. But here in Ohio about 200 yards or so before a firehouse they have one of those signifying its coming up. I got it about 15 years ago because I thought it was cool.
No, I didn't steal it either! I contacted the street department of the small town I lived in at the time and they ordered it for me. Just because I figured I might run into trouble down the road....I had the superintendent sign on the back in permanent marker that the sign had been paid for in full.....and I kept the receipt all these years!

lol. I dunno. The seller said he bought it that way, which is odd. Even a bad fix would be better than that. I can't believe he didn't at least try to cover it up with a new pad and fabric. It looks horrible. I'm going to have to stick it with something nice to get rid of it!

No brain, no gain.

Sorry Kursac, didn't quite understand. Did you want a pic of the tractor to see? I can get that, but not right now. It is a backhoe and it runs quite well actually. It belongs to my neighbor (also my wo partner and coworker). Its back at his house now, but when I got that stuff in the pic I had borrowed it to dig a trench.
BTW, I have officially sold all of that stuff except the heavy bag and the dumbells......came $25 short of clearing a grand! (Not too bad for a couple of hours of work, eh?).▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

Yea Skid, I know. The seller even said it was in good shape with no rips. But, I don't really need it. I have a cybex and an F320. Its probably better than the F320, but neither it nor the Cybex go decline and I can use the leg developer on the F320. No I don't use the developer much, but I can if I want and my wife does use it.
Just not much of a need for it and I don't know that I can get much out of it by flipping. I might take it if I can get it for fiddy. We'll see.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

i've got a pair of 30s already, but someone else can have the 50s. i'm gonna make/modify a dumbbell rack into a db and kettlebell rack soon. i've got all my solid dbs and all of my kettlebells on the floor right now. after i come down and get the rest of the kbs from you, i'll have them laying all over the place.
i've got a heavy welded db rack in the basement right now, i'll just grind the welds and put the part that holds the dbs straight instead of angled. then i'll put a "shelf" over most of it so the kbs can sit on it. for dbs, right now i've got a pair of york 30s like yours, a pair of round 60s, and 24,45,100# hexes (plus my powerblocks). i'm not really sure if everything will fit on the rack, i'm more concerned with getting the 100s and the kettlebells off of the floor.
oh yea- sorry for the thread-jacking, bro
edit: i'll pass on the bench, i've already got the one from my rack and a hoist i use for db work. and i don't really do db pressing much anymore, so, yea. thanks anyway!"If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine
